Flavour notes

The aroma opens with ripe fruit, warm spice and subtle floral notes. On the palate, Bordiga Rosso Bio begins on a sweet note with hints of red fruit, then develops into a more layered profile with spicy roots and a tannic kind of bitterness.

The finish is long and persistent, lightly drying, with bitter herbal tones that linger on the palate.

Product info about Bordiga Rosso Bio

Bordiga Rosso Bio is an Italian red vermouth with a distinctly wine-led personality. It starts from a base of white Cortese, to which Nebbiolo wine from Piedmont is added. That Piedmontese wine element gives the vermouth a firmer, more vinous feel than a purely sweet and herbal style.

The character is shaped further by carefully blended infusions of herbs and roots. What makes it engaging is the way it develops: an initial sweetness gives way to a more persistent bitterness, with a lightly tannic edge that keeps the finish structured and dry enough to remain interesting.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a vermouth for those moments when a Rosso may be versatile, but should still have substance. It has the aromatic complexity for aperitif drinking and enough presence to stand out in a vermouth-forward serve.
