Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte Red 2020 is a red Pessac-Léognan from Bordeaux, made by Château Smith Haut Lafitte. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, so the wine is built around dark fruit, Cabernet-driven structure and a refined Bordeaux profile.The grapes come from the estate vineyard, described as one continuous parcel on a Günz gravel plateau within the appellation. The producer notes that this wine receives the same level of care as the grand vin: the grapes are sorted twice, before and after destemming, the berries are not pressed before fermentation, and extraction is carried out by pigeage and/or remontage. Ageing lasts 14 months in barrels, 20% of them new, made in the estate's own cooperage.

Smith Haut Lafitte is a winery from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, south of the city of Bordeaux. The estate has a history dating back to the 14th century, but the name Smith Haut Lafitte became known in the 18th century thanks to the Scottish merchant George Smith, who acquired the estate and linked his name to it. Today, the Château is owned by Daniel and Florence Cathiard, who have been managing it since 1990.
