Cantine Sardus Pater Amentos Moscato di Cagliari 2022 is a sweet Sardinian passito in half-bottle format, made from 100% Moscato. It comes from Sant'Antioco in south-western Sardinia and carries the Moscato di Cagliari DOC designation. The name Amentos means memories in Sardinian, a fitting name for a wine made for the quieter, sweeter part of the table.The grapes are grown at sea level on sandy soils. Sardus Pater uses alberello-trained vines on their own roots, with an average age of around 20 years. The winemaking includes a short cold skin contact, fermentation in stainless steel, no malolactic fermentation and three months of bottle ageing.

Sardus Pater is a wine brand from Sardinia, Italy, whose name refers to the ancient Sardinian culture and mythology. The wines of Sardus Pater are produced by Cantina Sardus Pater, a coöperative winery founded in 1949 and located on the island of Sant'Antioco off the southwest coast of Sardinia. This coöperative consists of hundreds of local winegrowers who work together to preserve and promote the island's characteristic indigenous grape varieties. The focus is mainly on the Carignano grape, for which the region is known, but other Sardinian variëtals such as Vermentino and Nuragus are also used. Sardus Pater combines traditional cultivation methods with modern vinification techniques, paying attention to both the local terroir and the quality of the grapes. Their range includes various red, white, and rosé wines, ranging from young, fruity wines to oak-aged selections.
