Château Beychevelle 2019 is the Grand Vin of the Saint-Julien estate on Bordeaux's Left Bank. As a Fourth Growth from the 1855 classification, Beychevelle carries serious Bordeaux pedigree, yet the 2019 vintage is particularly engaging for the way it brings together concentration, freshness and fine tannic depth.
The blend is 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Around 55% of the harvest was selected for the Grand Vin, drawn from the estate's best plots. In the modern cellar, parcel-by-parcel vinification supports that selective approach, followed by 18 months in oak barriques, 60% of them new.

Château Beychevelle 2019 Magnum is the grand vin of Château Beychevelle from Saint-Julien in the Médoc. It is a dry red Bordeaux from an estate listed as a Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. The 1.5-litre magnum is not a separate cuvée, but the same grand vin in a larger bottle format.
The 2019 vintage was shaped by a dry, sunny and very warm summer, followed by September rain and cooler nights. According to the château, this helped extend ripening while preserving freshness in the grapes. The blend brings together merlot, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and cabernet franc, with a firm selection for the grand vin: around 55% of the harvested volume was used.

As a 4th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, it carries a serious pedigree, but the interest here is especially in the vintage character: 2021 shows a fresher, more restrained and classically structured side of Beychevelle.
The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon at 57%, with 38% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. That Cabernet presence is central to the wine's shape, supported by the estate's deep Garonne gravel soils and its position close to the Gironde. That is reflected in the blend: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Ageing with 70% new barriques adds structure and polish while keeping the wine firmly within its Saint-Julien style.

The 2022 vintage carries the imprint of a hot, dry growing season. After a cold winter, spring frost and an exceptionally warm summer, the château harvested small, concentrated berries with thick skins and pronounced tannins, while retaining freshness through concentrated acidity. The blend is 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, giving the wine a recognisably Saint-Julien sense of structure and depth.
