    Ceres 2021 is a red Haut-Médoc with a distinct identity alongside the Pauillac wines of Château Haut-Bages Libéral. Officially referred to as Ceres de Haut-Bages Libéral 2021, it comes from an 8-hectare vineyard in Vertheuil, north of Pauillac, planted on clay-limestone soil. The wine is made entirely from Merlot, with an emphasis on freshness, suppleness and a direct expression of fruit rather than weight.

    What makes this cuvée particularly interesting is the thinking behind the vineyard. The producer describes organic and biodynamic farming, Demeter grapes, cover crops and around 1000 planted trees to encourage biodiversity and soil life.
