Chateau Petit Village 2020 is the grand vin of Chateau Petit Village in Pomerol, Bordeaux. This is the estate's main wine rather than its second wine, drawn from the Pomerol plateau, where deep gravel and clay soils underpin a red wine with concentration and firm structure.
The 2020 vintage stands out for its blend: 60% merlot, 32% cabernet franc and 8% cabernet sauvignon. For this estate, that is an unusually high cabernet component, giving the wine a more structured and layered personality while keeping it firmly within the Pomerol style.
Selection was carried out rigorously, parcel by parcel, with careful sorting before vinification in small temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine then matured for 16 months, including 50% new oak and a small portion (…)Chateau Petit Village 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Château Petit Village 2020 in magnum is a Pomerol with a distinctly serious frame. The wine comes from the higher part of the Pomerol plateau, on gravel and clay soils, and the grand vin was drawn from a strict selection of around 4.5 hectares within the historic 10.5-hectare vineyard.
The blend is one of the most telling details of this vintage: 60% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. That relatively high Cabernet presence gives the wine notable structure alongside the ripe depth associated with Pomerol. Vinification was carried out parcel by parcel in small temperature-controlled concrete vats, with cold maceration before alcoholic fermentation, followed by around 16 months of ageing in barriques, larger wooden vats and a proportion of amphorae.

Chateau Petit Village 2021 is the grand vin of this Pomerol estate, made from the property's own vineyard on the higher part of the plateau. The vineyard is a single triangular block of 10.5 hectares, planted on deep gravel and clay soils. For this vintage, merlot is joined by cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon, with the cabernet varieties playing a clear role in the wine's identity.
The 2021 vintage also carries a particular significance for the estate. It was the first full vintage under the new team following the Moulin family's acquisition in 2020. In Pomerol, 2021 is generally a fresher, more classical year than the warmer 2019 and 2020 vintages. The grapes were carefully selected, cooled on arrival, and vinified parcel by parcel in small temperature-controlled (…)Chateau Petit Village 2022

Château Petit Village 2022 is the grand vin of this Pomerol estate in Bordeaux. The blend for this vintage is led by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc and a smaller proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is very much rooted in the language of Pomerol, yet shaped by the particular vineyard and cellar choices of Château Petit Village.
The estate's vineyard is especially distinctive: 10.5 hectares in one continuous triangular plot on the Pomerol plateau. Deep gravel and pebble soils with quartz and flint sit above a clay-rich subsoil. In the warm, dry 2022 vintage, that clay base was an important part of the story, helping preserve water reserves during a demanding growing season.
Selection was carried out with real precision, from manual work in the (…)
