Chateau La Conseillante 2016
On request only
Château La Conseillante 2016 is the grand vin of Château La Conseillante in Pomerol, Bordeaux. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, drawn from an estate vineyard of around 11.8 hectares with grey clay and sandy gravel soils. It is a Pomerol with real depth, yet the available notes repeatedly point to aromatic lift and precision rather than weight alone.
The 2016 growing season at the château moved through clear contrasts: a very wet spring, a hot and dry summer, then a favourable late season that allowed harvesting to take place over an extended period without pressure. The grapes were hand-picked in small crates, and the wine matured for 18 months, mostly in new French oak barriques. In the tasting descriptions, that oak appears as a supporting (…)Chateau La Conseillante 2018

Chateau La Conseillante 2018
On request only
Chateau La Conseillante 2018 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux and the first wine of Château La Conseillante. The estate covers 11.8 hectares, with grey clay and sandy gravel shaping the vineyard. For this vintage, the blend is 83% merlot and 17% cabernet franc, bringing together merlot's texture and depth with the freshness and spice associated with cabernet franc.
The 2018 growing season moved from a wet spring into a long, warm and very dry period from July onwards. The estate chose to harvest at the right level of ripeness and to extract gently, keeping the wine's concentration while preserving a fine, powdery tannic feel. Maturation lasted 18 months, mainly in French barriques, with a small proportion in amphorae.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the (…)Chateau La Conseillante 2018 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau La Conseillante 2018 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château La Conseillante 2018 Magnum is a Pomerol with real presence. The 1.5 litre format makes it a striking bottle for the table or cellar, while the wine itself remains the estate's grand vin: a Right Bank Bordeaux built on merlot and cabernet franc.
The 2018 vintage followed a wet spring with a hot, very dry summer and favourable weather into October. According to the estate, the grapes showed ripe pips, thick skins and a high level of polyphenols, so gentle extraction was important. The final blend is 83% merlot and 17% cabernet franc, from vineyards on grey clay and sandy gravel soils.
Maturation lasted 18 months, mainly in new barriques, supported by one-year-old barriques and a small proportion of amphorae. The result is a concentrated Pomerol (…)Chateau La Conseillante 2020 Demi (37,5cl)

Château La Conseillante 2020 Demi is the grand vin of Château La Conseillante in Pomerol, presented here in a 37.5 cl half bottle. The 2020 vintage is based on 87% Merlot with 13% Cabernet Franc, giving a wine described less in terms of weight and more through aromatic precision, floral detail and a satin-like structure.
The grapes were hand-harvested and vinified in temperature-controlled concrete vats. Maturation lasted 16 months, mainly in oak barrels with a small proportion of amphorae. That framework supports the concentration of the vintage while keeping the refined identity of La Conseillante clearly in view.
