Zeni Amarone Valpolicella Barrique 2019

Zeni Amarone Valpolicella Barrique 2019 is a dry red Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from the Valpolicella Classica area, the hills north of Verona. Made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, it is very much in the fuller Amarone tradition: concentrated, structured and generous, with 16% alcohol giving the wine its unmistakable weight.
The style is shaped long before the wine reaches barrel. The best bunches are hand-selected and dried for around four months in small crates, concentrating sugars, extract, aromas and glycerine. After fermentation on the skins and an extended maceration, the wine matures in French oak barriques, adding a clear layer of vanilla, cocoa and spice to the richness of the fruit.

Zeni Passito Bianco Del Veneto Demi (37,5cl)
Only 3 left in stock!
Zeni Passito Bianco del Veneto Demi is a sweet white passito wine from Veneto, made by Cantina F.lli Zeni in Bardolino, close to Lake Garda. The 37.5 cl half bottle feels very much in tune with the wine's purpose: a concentrated glass for dessert, foie gras or a quiet moment on its own.
It is produced from Garganega and Chardonnay grown in the province of Verona. The grapes are hand-selected at full ripeness and then dried for 3 to 4 months in small crates. Part of the fruit develops noble rot during this period, adding to the depth and intensity of the wine.
Only the first must is used after gentle pressing. Slow fermentation in barriques and 12 to 16 months of maturation in French oak shape its warm, sweet and persistent style. At Drankenshop Broekmans, (…)Zeni Amarone Valpolicella Classico 2018 Demi (37,5cl)

Zeni Amarone Valpolicella Classico 2018 Demi is a classic Amarone from the Valpolicella Classica area, bottled here in a convenient 37.5 cl half bottle. It is a useful format when you want the depth of Amarone without opening a full bottle.
The wine is made by Cantina F.lli Zeni in Bardolino, near Lake Garda in the province of Verona. Zeni works with Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella for this Amarone, using hand-selected grapes from hillside vineyards. Before fermentation, the grapes are dried for 2 to 3 months to concentrate sugars, extract, aromas and glycerine. The wine then undergoes traditional skin fermentation and matures for 2 to 3 years in large oak casks.

Zeni Amarone Valpolicella Classico 2022 is a red wine from the Valpolicella Classica area in Veneto, the hilly zone north of Verona. Its official appellation is Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico, made by Cantina F.lli Zeni 1870 in Bardolino, close to Lake Garda.
The heart of the wine is the traditional Amarone method. Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes are hand selected from hillside vineyards and placed in small crates for 2 to 3 months of appassimento. During this drying period, sugars, extract, aromas and glycerine become more concentrated before fermentation begins. The wine then undergoes traditional skin fermentation with 15 to 20 days of maceration, followed by 2 to 3 years in large 50-hectolitre oak casks.

Zeni Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Nino Zeni 2013 comes from Valpolicella Classica, the historic hillside area north of Verona. Within Zeni 1870, this cuvée is dedicated to Gaetano Nino Zeni and is made in small quantities, only in the best years from selected grapes.
The wine is based on Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grown on hillside vineyards with clay- and silt-rich soils. For this Amarone, the finest bunches are hand-selected and placed in small crates for five months of appassimento. That long drying period concentrates sugars, extract, aromas and glycerine. Fermentation includes 25 to 30 days of skin contact in wooden vats, followed by five years of maturation in oak casks, with a small part aged in barriques.

Zeni Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Vigne Alte 2017 comes from Valpolicella Classica, the hill area north of Verona. The VA in the product name refers to Vigne Alte, a Zeni selection linked to the producer's quality-focused work that began in the 1980s.
The wine is made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, hand-selected from hillside vineyards. After harvest, the grapes are dried for around three months in small crates using the appassimento method. This concentrates sugars, extract, aromas and glycerine before traditional skin fermentation and maceration.
Ageing takes place in old 25 hl oak casks for 2 to 4 years, depending on the vintage. That gives the wine the full, warm structure associated with Amarone, while the 2017 also shows freshness, (…)Zeni Bardolino Classico 2025

Zeni Bardolino Classico 2025 comes from the traditional Classico area of Bardolino, on the eastern side of Lake Garda in Veneto. It is a dry red wine from Cantina F.lli Zeni, a family producer based in Bardolino with long-standing roots in the region.
Corvina and Rondinella shape the wine. The grapes are grown on hilly soils of morainic origin and are harvested by hand in a single picking. Fermentation follows a traditional red-wine approach, with skin contact and around four to six days of maceration. Ageing in stainless steel keeps the style fresh, direct and free from pronounced oak influence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Bardolino as a fine example of a lighter to medium-bodied Veneto red made to be enjoyed young. It sits comfortably alongside (…)Zeni Costalago Rosso Veronese 2023

Zeni Costalago Rosso Veronese 2023 is a red wine from Veneto, produced in the province of Verona by Cantina F.lli Zeni in Bardolino, close to Lake Garda. It carries the IGT Rosso Veronese designation and brings together local Veronese grapes, mainly Corvina and Corvinone, with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
A key part of its character comes from the handling of the grapes. The best bunches are selected by hand, placed in small crates and given a short drying period before fermentation. This concentrates the must and helps explain the wine's ripe, rounded style. After traditional skin fermentation and maceration, it matures for around a year and a half in oak casks, followed by a short rest in stainless steel.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Pinot Grigio we value for its clean, fresh expression. The grapes are grown in Venetian wine areas with limestone-rich soils and are harvested by hand. Gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation and maturation in stainless steel all point in the same direction: preserving freshness, clarity and primary fruit.
Made to be enjoyed young, it sits naturally alongside lighter dishes such as fried fish, seafood, fish-based pasta, oysters, soups, white meat and creamy cheeses. Chilled to around (…)Zeni Recioto Valpolicella Classico 2019 Demi (37,5cl)

Only 2 left in stock!
Zeni Recioto Valpolicella Classico 2019 Demi is a sweet red wine from Veneto, made in the classic Valpolicella area in the hills north of Verona. The 37.5 cl half-bottle format suits this style particularly well: concentrated, generous and often poured in smaller glasses at the end of a meal.
The wine is based on Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, from hand-selected grapes grown in hillside vineyards. Its character comes from the traditional Recioto method, where the bunches are dried for around three months in small crates or on trays. During this time, sugars, extract and aromas become more concentrated before fermentation begins.
Fermentation is stopped while natural sweetness remains in the wine. Maturation then takes place in large oak casks, followed by (…)Zeni Valpolicella Superiore Vigne Alte 2021

Zeni Valpolicella Superiore Vigne Alte 2021 is a red wine from Veneto, produced by Cantina F.lli Zeni with grapes from the Valpolicella Classica area in the hills north of Verona. It is built around Corvina and Rondinella, with bunches selected by hand once they have reached optimal ripeness.
Vigne Alte sits in a fuller, more structured register of Valpolicella. The wine is made with traditional fermentation on the skins, followed by 6 to 8 days of maceration, and then matures for around one year in oak barrels, depending on the vintage. That ageing gives the wine extra roundness and length while keeping the dry red style that defines it.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Italian red we like to present as a proper table wine: generous enough for (…)
