Cotopaxi 14y Small Batch is an Ecuadorian rum with a notably firm presence: 14 years old, released as a small batch and bottled at a powerful 60% ABV. This is not positioned as an everyday, easy-going rum, but as a more intense and mature expression.
Within the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this Cotopaxi stands out because several elements point in the same direction: age, strength, small-batch bottling and the fact that only the last bottles remain. It feels like a focused release rather than a broad standard bottling.
For anyone looking to explore rum from Ecuador through a bottle with age and real strength, this is one to approach with time and attention.
