Frangelico is an Italian hazelnut liqueur from Piedmont, built around Tonda Gentile hazelnuts. That gives the liqueur its clear focus: a pronounced hazelnut identity shaped through roasting, infusion and distillation rather than a simple added flavour.
The hazelnut distillate is combined with extracts and distillates including cocoa beans, vanilla and roasted coffee. It places Frangelico firmly in a dessert-like, nutty style, with chocolate and coffee notes adding depth. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it is the kind of liqueur we like to introduce when someone is looking for a clearly recognisable hazelnut character, whether served neat, chilled, over ice or used in mixed drinks.
