Château Latour-Martillac Blanc 2019 is the estate's first white wine from Pessac-Léognan in Bordeaux. This is not the second wine, but the château's white Grand Cru Classé de Graves, from a property classified for both red and white wines since 1953.The 2019 blend is made from 58% Sauvignon Blanc and 42% Sémillon. The white grapes come from clay-limestone soils on the eastern slopes of the estate, harvested by hand in small crates, plot by plot. After a demanding growing season with a cool, wet spring and a hot, dry summer, the château described the fruit as healthy, with sugar, acidity and aromatic potential.
Fermentation took place in barriques, followed by 15 months on the lees, including 10 months in French oak barrels with 25% new oak. That élevage gives the wine its serious white Bordeaux frame, while leaving room for the citrus, floral and mineral side of the vintage.

Château Latour-Martillac is a wine estate from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, which is part of the Graves area south of the city of Bordeaux. The château owes its name to a medieval tower that can still be found on the estate, a striking historical feature. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the estate has been managed by the Kressmann family, who acquired full ownership in 1929. Château Latour-Martillac is best known for its red and white wines, both of which are included among the Crus Classés de Graves according to the 1953 and 1959 classifications. The vineyards consist of a mix of classic Bordeaux grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot for red, and Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle for white.
