Château Tronquoy 2019 is a dry red Bordeaux from Saint-Estèphe in the Médoc, on Bordeaux's left bank. It is the estate's grand vin, shaped by a vintage that brought together dark fruit concentration, structure and freshness.The blend is distinctive for Saint-Estèphe: 50% merlot, 44% cabernet sauvignon and 6% petit verdot. That merlot presence gives the wine a rounded, dark-fruited side, while cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot add firmness, depth and a more savoury frame.
Château Tronquoy's vineyard lies on clay and gravel soils near the Gironde, a setting that supports both drainage and water retention. The 2019 growing season included intense summer heat, followed by rain at key moments that helped the grapes continue ripening. In the cellar, parcel-by-parcel vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks was followed by maturation in French oak barriques.
