Château Berliquet 2022 Demi is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé presented in a 37.5 cl half-bottle. It is the same cuvée as the regular bottle, simply in a smaller format, useful when a full bottle is more than the occasion calls for or when you want to follow a serious Bordeaux in a more focused way.The 2022 vintage is made from 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc, grown on the estate in Saint-Émilion. Berliquet sits on the western edge of the plateau, where limestone and clay are important parts of the terroir. That background helps explain the style described for this wine: ripe red and dark fruit, but also a firm mineral line and a chalky sense of structure.
Parcel-by-parcel vinification and small vats allow the estate to handle separate vineyard lots individually. The wine was aged for 16 months in a combination of new barrels, amphorae and used wood. Since 2017, Château Berliquet has been owned by Chanel and guided by the team of Château Canon, while retaining its own identity.
