Château Malartic-Lagravière Blanc 2022 is the white grand vin of the estate in Léognan, within the Pessac-Léognan appellation. As one of the Crus Classés de Graves, and classified for both red and white wines, the château brings a particularly serious Bordeaux context to this dry white wine.The 2022 vintage was shaped by spring frost, drought and several heatwaves, yet the estate describes its white wines from this year as fine, airy and strikingly fresh. The blend is 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Sémillon, harvested by hand in several selective passes. Picking for the white grapes began early, on 24 August, a detail that says a lot about the precision needed in this vintage.
Fermentation took place in oak barrels after slow pressing under inert gas, followed by 14 months on the lees with bâtonnage in French oak, 50% of it new. That ageing gives the wine texture and depth, while the citrus-driven freshness and mineral line remain central to its identity.

About CH MALARTIC LAGRAVIERE
Château Malartic-Lagravière is a well-known wine producer from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Pessac-Lëognan appellation, part of Graves. The château has a history dating back to the eighteenth century, having known several owners before the Bonnie family took over the estate in 1997. The vineyards cover around 53 hectares and are planted with classic Bordeaux grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot for red, and Sauvignon Blanc, Sëmillon with a small proportion of Muscadelle for white. Château Malartic-Lagravière belongs to the select group of Graves vineyards that achieved cru classé status for both red and white during the 1953 classification (revised in 1959). The winery is appreciated for an elegant style and strives to produce wines that clearly express the terroir, supported by modern vinification techniques and sustainable vineyard practices.
