Laphroaig 2016 10y Rum Cask Finish (Douglas Laing Old Particular) Tube Incl.
On request only
Laphroaig 2016 10 Year Old Rum Cask Finish is an Islay single malt bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range, as part of the Paradise In Smoke Collection. It keeps the unmistakable Laphroaig identity in view: medicinal peat smoke, maritime depth and a firm smoky presence.
The distinctive twist is its finish in a Trinidad rum cask. That finish brings a more exotic layer to the whisky, adding notes of tropical fruit, brown sugar and soft caramel around the classic Islay smoke. It does not soften the whisky into something anonymous; it gives Laphroaig a more adventurous edge.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present to drinkers who already enjoy smoky whisky but want to explore a less conventional side of it. With 10 (…)Amrut Little Greedy Angels 8y Incl. Box

Very last one in stock!
Amrut Little Greedy Angels 8y is an Indian single malt with a clear sense of identity: 8 years old, matured in a Bourbon Barrel and bottled at 50%. It has the strength to make itself heard, yet the available profile points more towards fruit-driven character than sheer weight.
Fruit is the main thread here, supported by lighter touches of wood, spice, floral notes and a gentle peated edge. The Bourbon Barrel maturation adds context without taking over the whole whisky, keeping the focus on the style of the spirit as much as on the cask.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits nicely among the more distinctive single malts in the selection: Indian in origin, age-stated, bottled at a confident strength and now down to the last bottles. For anyone following Amrut (…)Benriach Smoky 10 Tube Incl.

Benriach Smoky 10 is a 10-year-old Speyside single malt with a clear sense of direction: fruit comes first, while the smoky side adds character without taking over. It shows a different angle on Speyside, with peat used as a supporting note rather than a dominant force.
Bottled at 46%, it has enough presence for considered sipping, while the supplied profile points to a whisky shaped by fruit, gentle wood influence, light spice, a floral touch and a restrained peated note.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would bring into the conversation when someone wants a Speyside malt with a little extra tension, but not an intensely smoky style. Further information about the brand can be found at https://www.benriachdistillery.co.uk/

Balvenie 14y A Collection Of Curious Cask is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky with a clear focus on maturation and cask character. The available details point to a 14-year-old whisky drawn from bourbon barrel influence, presented under a name that suggests a more inquisitive, cask-led release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits well among single malts for drinkers who enjoy a fruit-driven Speyside style with a little extra presence. It is bottled at 47.8% and comes from a stated outturn of 9050 bottles, giving the release a defined and finite character.

The bourbon cask influence supports the whisky rather than dominating it. Fruit is the main thread, while gentle floral notes, light wood and a touch of spice add shape around it. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this in the conversation for someone looking for a mature Scottish single malt with sherry influence, rather than a heavily smoky style.

The Singleton Of Dufftown 28y is a Speyside single malt where maturity is the central point of interest. Twenty-eight years of ageing gives this whisky a more reflective feel than younger releases, the kind of bottle that invites a slower, more attentive glass.
Its maturation in oak casks and strength of 52.3% give the whisky real presence, while the supplied flavour profile points first of all to fruit. Floral notes, oak and spice sit more gently in the background. With no peated or salty profile indicated, the emphasis remains on aged Speyside malt character rather than smoke or coastal sharpness.

Its profile is led by fruit, while wood, spice and a light floral side play more of a supporting role. Peat is not part of the picture here, so the focus remains on a softer, fruit-forward expression of Speyside single malt.

Maturation in Bourbon Barrel gives a gentle wood influence, but the profile points more clearly towards fruit. Ardmore 2018 7y Rum Cask Finish is the kind of Highland single malt that explains the appeal of independent bottling in a very direct way. Douglas Laing, a respected Scottish family bottler since 1948, selected a single Ardmore cask and gave it room to show its own personality rather than smoothing it into a house style.
This release belongs to the Paradise In Smoke Collection, a series built around the meeting point between peated Scotch whisky and Caribbean rum casks. For this Ardmore, the finish took place in a Jamaican rum cask. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this bottle among the Macallan releases that carry interest beyond the glass as well, since it is marked as a collector's item. That gives the whisky the feel of a particular cask captured at a particular stage of its life.
Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2024, it carries an 11 year age statement and comes at 57.1% ABV. With only 294 bottles filled, and now down to the last bottles, it has the quiet scarcity that often makes independent bottlings so engaging.
