Old Pulteney 1983
Very last one in stock!
Old Pulteney 1983 is a Highland single malt where the age statement immediately gives the bottle its weight. Distilled in 1983 and matured for 34 years, it belongs to that quieter, more contemplative side of Scotch whisky, where time is a central part of the experience. The sherry finish adds an extra layer of cask character to an already mature whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to customers who are drawn to older single malts with a clear sense of provenance. At 46% alcohol, it keeps a composed strength, while the flavour profile points towards pronounced wood and spice, with fruit and a gentle salty note playing a more supporting role.
With only the last bottles remaining, this Old Pulteney feels less like an (…)Bunnahabhain 31y Director's Special (The Single Malts Of Scotland)

Bunnahabhain 31y Director's Special (The Single Malts Of Scotland)
Only 2 left in stock!
Bunnahabhain 31y Director's Special is the kind of Islay single malt where the age statement immediately stands out, yet the real appeal lies in the way it was selected and bottled. Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2019, it spent 31 years maturing in an oak cask before being released.
This bottling comes from The Single Malts of Scotland as part of the Director's Special series. It is a single cask release, bottled at cask strength, with only 195 bottles produced. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this among the more distinctive finds: limited, mature and clearly separate from a standard distillery expression.
Its Islay origin does not translate into a peat-led profile here. The emphasis sits more on wood and spice, with a lighter fruit note and a (…)Dry Fly Wheat Cask Strength

Dry Fly Wheat Cask Strength
On request only
Dry Fly Wheat Cask Strength is an American wheat whiskey with a very clear identity: it is made from 100% wheat and bottled at cask strength. At 60% ABV it certainly has weight on paper, yet the supplied description points to a full, rounded taste that feels surprisingly composed for that strength.
New oak gives the whiskey a firm frame, with wood and spice clearly present alongside the softer wheat-driven character. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for an American whiskey with more intensity than a standard release, but without turning the experience into pure alcohol power.
With only the last bottles remaining, this Dry Fly has become a more limited find. Its appeal lies in the combination of wheat (…)Belgrove 2016 #170216 (Berry Bros)

Belgrove 2016 #170216 (Berry Bros)

Belgrove 2016 #170216 is the kind of rye whisky that immediately gives you something to talk about. This Tasmanian single cask bottling was selected for Collective#1 by Berry Bros. & Rudd, the British independent bottler bringing together spirits from around the world with a shared willingness to challenge convention and reduce their impact on natural resources.
The story at Belgrove Distillery is especially hands-on. Pete Bignell grows his own rye, built his own stills and fires them with used cooking oil. According to the supplied information, the distillery operates almost as a closed loop, with bio-oil as the only outside input and whisky as the only output. That gives this rye a very distinctive identity before you even pour a glass.
Cask #170216 was (…)Scapegrace Anthem

Scapegrace Anthem

Scapegrace Anthem is a New Zealand single malt with a point of view of its own. Its character is built around Manuka-smoked malt, an element native to New Zealand, bringing a broad and robust flavour with a distinctive touch of sweetness from the manuka bark.
Virgin French Oak adds a firm wood and spice dimension, while a gentle fruit note keeps the whisky from feeling one-dimensional. At 46% ABV, it has enough presence to carry that character clearly in the glass.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we like to place in front of curious drinkers: recognisably single malt, yet shaped by a very New Zealand approach to smoke and sweetness. Scapegrace Anthem is especially interesting when you want a whisky that feels familiar in form, but (…)Tobermory 2004 Oloroso

Tobermory 2004 Oloroso is a Scottish single malt from Mull with a clear focus: 17 years of maturation, Oloroso sherry influence and bottling at cask strength. At 55.9%, it keeps its natural intensity, while the profile points towards wood and spice, with fruit playing a more supporting role.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would introduce to someone who enjoys taking time with a dram rather than looking for something light or simple. The appeal lies in the combination of age, strength and sherry wood, giving this Tobermory a firm and mature presence.
With only the last bottles remaining, this release also has a naturally finite feel. It is a focused 2004 Tobermory for drinkers who appreciate cask strength single malt and the deeper (…)Linkwood 2015 10y (Adelphi)

Linkwood 2015 10y presents Speyside single malt in a more concentrated and cask-driven form. Distilled at Linkwood in 2015, it spent 10 years in a first fill Pedro Ximenez hogshead, giving the whisky a clear sherry-cask direction while keeping the focus on one individual maturation.
This is a single cask release, bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 280 bottles and selected exclusively for the European market. At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued because they show a very specific side of a distillery: one cask, one maturation path, one limited release.

Highland Malt2000 21y is a Scottish single malt with an intentionally undisclosed origin. The name gives just enough to set the scene Highland, distilled in 2000, matured for 21 years while keeping the distillery out of focus. That makes the cask itself the centre of attention.
Bottled in 2022 by Campbeltown Whisky Company under the Watt Whisky label, this release comes from a single sherry hogshead and was filled at cask strength, 55.2% ABV. Only 308 bottles were produced, so it represents one particular cask rather than a broad house style.

Aultmore 2014 10y by Alistair Walker is a Speyside single malt with a clear independent-bottler signature. It belongs to the Infrequent Flyers series, where Walker works with rare casks and bolder finishes; in this case, Aultmore has been given a Pedro Ximenez finish.
The appeal lies in the way the PX richness is held in check by the freshness associated with Aultmore in the product information. Rather than being all about heavy sweetness, it brings together weight, oak influence and spice in a whisky that still has lift and definition.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone looking for a distinctive independent Speyside rather than a standard distillery release. It is a single cask bottling at 55.4%, limited to 350 (…)Woodford Reserve + Glass

Glenmorangie Signet sits at the deeper, more contemplative end of the Glenmorangie range. It is presented by the distillery as the height of its expertise: a Highland single malt built around richness, complexity and a more profound style of aroma.
The exact recipe is kept secret, but the important clues are there. Signet contains some of Glenmorangie's oldest whiskies, while its distinctive core comes from heavily roasted chocolate malt. Estate-grown barley brings the creamy Glenmorangie style, and the final composition draws together extra-mature sweet whiskies from old sherry casks, spicy toasted whiskies from newly charred oak casks, and mature stocks that give Signet its depth.

At 21 years old, this Springbank brings together fruit, spice and a clear but measured wood influence, with a light salty accent and only a gentle trace of smoke on the finish. Ben Nevis 2011 13y is a Highland single malt shaped by Alistair Walker's taste for less conventional maturation. In his Infrequent Flyers series, Walker selects rare casks and experiments with bold finishes, and this release follows that approach closely. The cask influence comes from Recioto, an Italian dessert wine, described in the supplied information as one of the house specialities.
The finish lasted four years, so the wine cask has had real time to leave its mark. Rather than presenting a simple layer of sweetness, the whisky leans into a strong wood presence, supported by spice and a more restrained fruitiness.
