Edradour 2014 11y PX is a Highland single malt shaped by a clear sense of time and cask influence. Distilled in 2014 and matured for 11 years, it carries its Pedro Ximenez reference openly in both name and cask indication.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky for drinkers who are drawn to a spicier style rather than a peated one. The profile points to pronounced spice, supported by a lighter fruity side and a gentle touch of wood.
Bottled at 46%, it has enough presence to feel purposeful in the glass. With only the last bottles remaining, this Edradour is also a release with limited availability.

Kyro 2016 (Berry Bros Nordic Casks)
On request only
Kyro 2016 is Finnish rye whisky shown in a very focused way: one bourbon barrel, bottled at cask strength by Berry Bros as part of the Nordic Casks range. Rather than a broad house style, this is a small snapshot of one individual cask.
Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2021, the release was limited to 256 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a rye whisky for drinkers who enjoy exploring less familiar origins within the category.
The emphasis is clearly on spice, supported by a noticeable fruity side and a lighter touch of wood from the bourbon barrel. At 54.6%, it carries the presence of a cask strength bottling, with no supplied indication of peat smoke or salinity.
The flavour profile is led by pronounced spice. Fruit sits (…)Kura Pure Malt Classic

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Japanese whisky for drinkers looking for a malt-led character without peat or salty notes taking the lead.

Glen Moray Sherry Finish is a Scottish Speyside single malt built around its sherry cask finish rather than an age statement. The emphasis is on the influence of that finishing stage: spice sits at the heart of the whisky, with lighter touches of fruit and wood giving it extra shape.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a Speyside single malt with a sherry-finished angle, but without peat smoke or salty coastal notes taking over. Bottled at 40%, it keeps a straightforward presentation while still offering a clearly defined flavour direction.
The supplied flavour profile points first and foremost to spice. Fruit is present in a lighter role, while the wood influence stays more in the background, giving (…)Macallan N°5

Macallan N°5 is a Scottish single malt from Speyside with a clear focus on release identity rather than an age statement. Bottled at 48.5%, it has a little more weight on paper than many standard-strength whiskies, while the supplied profile does not point towards peat or coastal salinity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, a bottle like this is interesting because it sits at the crossroads of drinking whisky and Macallan collectability. The release was bottled in 260,000 bottles, so it is not presented as a tiny outturn, but it is still a defined edition. With the product marked as a collector's item and only the last bottles remaining, its availability becomes part of the story.

Glenallachie 2008 11y Asta is a Speyside single malt with a very focused identity: one vintage, one cask and bottled at cask strength. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2020, it captures Glenallachie after 11 years of maturation in a clearly defined form.
The Sherry Butt maturation and 56% strength give this release a firm, direct presence. As a single cask bottling, it stays close to the individual cask it came from, rather than being shaped into a broader house-style expression.
With 724 bottles produced and now marked as last bottles, this Glenallachie has a particular place at Drankenshop Broekmans among limited Speyside whiskies for drinkers who enjoy exploring a specific cask selection.

Armorik Double Maturation is a French single malt from Brittany, shaped by a clear focus on maturation. It spends at least five years in Armorik's traditional oak casks, followed by a few months of finishing in sherry casks. That second stage gives the whisky its name and adds a spiced, fruity dimension while keeping its distinctive Breton identity in view.
Bottled at 46%, it is presented with enough strength to carry its aromatic richness. The result is a whisky with a fresh and fruit-led opening, supported by wood influence and a more seasoned, characterful side as it develops in the glass.

Bunnahabhain An Cladach is an Islay single malt that takes a different route from the island's more smoke-driven reputation. Its profile is led by spice, with a lighter fruity side and a restrained touch of wood, while peat smoke is not part of the main expression here.
Matured in sherry casks and bottled without an age statement, it focuses on style and cask influence rather than age. At 50% ABV, An Cladach has enough strength to feel firmly present in the glass, giving the whisky a more pronounced character than many softer everyday malts.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like this release for the way it broadens the picture of Islay whisky. The 1 litre bottle makes it a generous choice for anyone looking for a sherry-matured Bunnahabhain with weight, spice and (…)Compass Box Spice Tree Extravangaza (Compass Box Limited Edition)

Compass Box Spice Tree Extravangaza is a Scottish blended malt with a clear anniversary background. It was created for the 10th anniversary of the first Spice Tree, with John Glaser revisiting that original idea in a deeper and more mature form.
For this version, the single malts are older than those used in the original release, and a greater proportion of sherry casks was used to push the spicy character further. The result is a whisky built around aromatic warmth, ripe fruit and a generous spice-driven style, very much in line with the Spice Tree name.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Compass Box release we like to place in context: limited to 12,240 bottles, now down to the last bottles, and carrying a direct link to one of the brand's (…)Glendronach 12y New Incl. Box

The cask story is built on Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. Oloroso brings the drier fruit and spice, while Pedro Ximénez adds grape-like sweetness and a richer impression. Together they shape a clear sherried style, described in the product information as reviving a Highland grand cru tradition in this Billy Walker version.
