Glendronach 1993 28y Lmdw Incl. Box

Glendronach 1993 28y Lmdw is a Highland single malt built around age, cask individuality and natural strength. Distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2022, it spent 28 years maturing before being drawn from a single puncheon and bottled at cask strength, at 52.3% ABV.
That one cask produced 634 bottles, and with this release now down to its last bottles, it has a particular place in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection. It is the kind of whisky we like to present as a focused view of one mature cask rather than as a broad house-style expression.
The flavour direction points towards fruit, spice and wood as the main elements, supported by a lighter floral touch. Peat and salinity are not part of the stated profile, so the emphasis remains on maturation, cask presence (…)Glendronach 1994 27y Batch 19 Incl. Box

Glendronach 1994 27y Batch 19 is the kind of Highland single malt where the appeal lies in patience, provenance and a very specific cask. Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2021, it carries the 27-year age statement from its name with real significance: one individual cask, bottled at a natural cask strength of 53%.
The Oloroso Sherry cask is the central influence here. The flavour profile points towards clear fruit, spice and mature wood, with a lighter floral accent and no peat smoke shaping the style. Rather than relying on smoke or coastal notes, this bottling is built around sherry maturation, age and the concentration of a single cask release.

Glenfiddich 40y is a Speyside single malt where age is the defining part of the conversation. After forty years of maturation, the focus is less on youthful intensity and more on the depth that comes from wood influence, spice and fruit developing over time.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle that naturally stands apart in a whisky selection: a long-aged Glenfiddich with a flavour profile built around mature fruit, clear oak presence and measured spice. A lighter floral accent adds a more delicate side to that mature structure.
Bottled at 44.6%, it carries a little more strength than a standard 40% whisky, while the supplied profile does not point towards peat smoke or salty coastal notes. The emphasis remains firmly on Speyside single malt (…)Dalmore Vintage 2006 Incl. Box

Dalmore Vintage 2006 is a Highland single malt built around age, cask selection and depth of maturation. This 18-year-old release was distilled in 2006 and bottled at 47.2%, after maturation in ex-Bourbon casks made from American white oak and further enrichment in hand-selected Matusalem and Amoroso Sherry casks.
That cask combination gives the whisky a layered identity. The Bourbon wood provides structure and a clear oak presence, while the Sherry casks bring darker fruit, spice and deeper cocoa-like tones into focus. It is unchill filtered and presented at natural colour, keeping the emphasis close to the whisky's own maturation character.

Highland Park 2009 12y Spirits In The Sky is a very specific snapshot of Orkney single malt. Distilled on 16 November 2009 and bottled in 2022, it comes from a refill hogshead selected for the Spirits in the Sky Single Cask Series.
At 65.2% ABV, this was bottled at cask strength, keeping the whisky close to the way it came from the cask. The refill hogshead seems central to its style: enough wood, spice and fruit to give structure, while still leaving room for the individual character of the whisky to come through.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, the interest here lies in the combination of precision and scarcity. One cask, twelve years of maturation, a release of fewer than three hundred bottles and now only limited stock remaining. It is not a broad house-style (…)Macallan 30y Sherry Oak

Macallan 30y Sherry Oak is a Speyside single malt shaped by time and sherry cask maturation. The name says much of what matters here: Macallan, thirty years old, matured in a sherry-led style, with the age and cask influence forming the heart of the whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a mature single malt with a clear sherry oak identity. The profile points towards fruit, spice and wood as the main elements, supported by a lighter floral touch. Peat smoke is not part of the picture, so the focus stays firmly on maturation and cask character.

Ardmore Ardlair 2009 12y is a Highland single malt with the unmistakable feel of an independent bottling. Distilled in September 2009 and bottled in September 2021, it was selected by The Nectar for the Daily Dram series, giving it a more individual character than a regular distillery expression.
The appeal here lies in the way several details come together: a single cask release, bottled at cask strength, matured in a Vin Doux Naturel cask. At 51.8% and with only 340 bottles drawn, it presents a focused snapshot of one particular cask rather than a broad house style.

Signatory bottled it as part of the Artist Edition, at cask strength and 47.7% alcohol. That detail matters here, because it keeps the whisky close to the way the cask presented itself after its long maturation, without reducing it to a standard bottling strength.

Signatory selected it for the Vintage Symington's Choice series, with cask #8681 standing on its own. Miltonduff 1990 #3809 is a fine example of why independent bottlings can be so rewarding. Berry Bros & Rudd, active in the drinks world since 1698, uses its Berry's Exceptional Casks range for whiskies and rums that stand apart through origin, cask selection or a flavour profile with something extra to say.
This Speyside single malt draws much of its interest from Miltonduff itself. The distillery is described as one that can be overlooked because much of its production goes into blends, yet older casks of 20 years and beyond develop a character of their own. Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2023, this release spent 33 years maturing in a hogshead.
