Kilchoman Casado Incl. Box

On request only

Kilchoman Casado is an 8 year old Islay single malt finished in wine casks. That detail gives the whisky its point of interest: the island style remains clearly present, with peat and spice at the centre, while the wine finish adds another layer to the maturation.

Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its character with clarity. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy peated Islay whisky but also appreciate a more shaped, cask-influenced style. The profile points towards pronounced spice and peat, with lighter touches of wood, salinity and a subtle floral edge.

With only the last bottles remaining, Kilchoman Casado has the feeling of a release to consider while it is still around. Its appeal lies in that specific (…)

Port Charlotte 10y

Temporarily sold out

Port Charlotte 10y is a Scottish single malt from Islay with a firmly defined personality. Its centre of gravity lies in peat, salt and spice, giving it a direct island character rather than a soft or fruit-led style.

Ten years of maturation provide maturity, while the 50% strength gives the whisky extra presence in the glass. The emphasis is not on overt wood or fruit influence, but on a more focused profile where peat, coastal salinity and spice carry the experience.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits comfortably among the more characterful Islay single malts. It is the kind of whisky we would introduce to someone looking for a clear, confident expression of the island's peated style.

The flavour profile is led by peat, salinity and spice. A (…)

Caol Ila 2008 13y Tasttoe (The Whisky Jury)

In stock

Caol Ila 2008 13y Tasttoe is a focused single malt from Islay, drawn from one individual cask rather than a broad vatting. Distilled in October 2008 and bottled in March 2022, it carries a 13-year age statement and has been bottled at cask strength, giving the whisky a direct and unpolished sense of presence at 55%.

The sherry finish adds another layer to the whisky, while the Islay side remains clearly in view. Peat smoke, salinity and spice are the main threads here, supported more gently by fruit, floral touches and wood. It is a bottling that speaks more about a particular cask than about a standardised expression.

Only 202 bottles were released, and with the last bottles now available, this Tasttoe bottling has a naturally limited feel within the (…)

Ledaig 1995 26y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

On request only

Ledaig 1995 26y Tb is a Scottish single malt from Mull with a very focused identity: one cask, long maturation and a clearly coastal-peated profile. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2022, it carries 26 years of development without feeling like a broad, standard release. It is the kind of whisky that speaks through the individuality of a single cask.

That single cask element is central here. Rather than blending several casks into a wider style, this bottling captures one specific maturation path, with peat, salt and spice forming the most prominent parts of its profile. Fruit, floral touches and oak sit more in the background, adding support rather than taking over. Bottled at cask strength at 45%, it remains close to the form in which the cask presented itself.

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 13

In stock

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 13 is a firmly built Campbeltown single malt, bottled at natural cask strength with an alcohol level of 58.6%. It is a whisky with real presence: heavily peated, oily in style and carrying the lightly maritime edge described as part of Glengyle Distillery's traditional character.

The maturation brings together bourbon and sherry casks, giving Batch 13 more than smoke alone. Sweetness, spice and peat sit close together, with the cask influence adding depth while leaving the smoky Campbeltown identity clearly in view.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of release we place with whiskies for drinkers who appreciate intensity without polish being added afterwards. It is non-chill filtered and bottled without colouring, (…)

Octomore 16.3

On request only

Octomore 16.3 is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich with a very direct sense of power. Bottled at cask strength at 61.6% and matured for five years, it presents itself as a whisky built around intensity: peat smoke, coastal salinity and spice form the core of its character.

The bourbon and sherry cask influence gives the whisky a useful frame, while the wood remains a supporting element rather than the main subject. What comes through most clearly is the combination of smoke, salt and spice, carried by the natural strength of the spirit.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Octomore 16.3 sits firmly among the more assertive Islay single malts. It is a bottle for drinkers who want a whisky with cask-strength impact, a pronounced island identity and a style that (…)

Lagavulin 12y Special Reserve 2022

On request only

Lagavulin 12y Special Reserve 2022 is a firmly stated Islay single malt: 12 years old, bottled at cask strength and carrying a substantial 57.3% ABV. It is the kind of release where the essentials matter origin, age, strength and style all point in the same direction.

American oak provides the maturation frame, but the whisky's identity is built more around peat, salinity and spice than around overt woodiness. Lighter touches of fruit and floral character sit in the background, giving some lift without softening the overall impression too much.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Lagavulin stands out for that combination of Islay character and full-strength bottling. With only the last bottles remaining, the 2022 Special Reserve also has an increasingly limited (…)

Kilchoman Loch Gorm 10y 2025

On request only

Kilchoman Loch Gorm 10y 2025 stands out in the Loch Gorm line because it is the first edition to carry an age statement. After ten years of maturation, this Islay single malt brings together Kilchoman's peated signature with the depth and richness of oloroso sherry casks.

That meeting of styles is what gives this release its identity. Sherry maturation brings darker fruit, spice and sweetness, while peat, earthy tones and a salty edge keep the Islay side clearly in view. Bottled at 46%, it has enough presence to carry those flavours without making strength the main point.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Loch Gorm 2025 as a particularly engaging choice for drinkers who enjoy Kilchoman with a fuller sherry-matured character. With only the last bottles (…)

Islay 2007 18y #10004 (Berry Bros - Berry's Exceptional Casks)

In stock

Islay 2007 18y #10004 is a single malt with a clear island signature: smoke, peat, salt and a lightly medicinal edge that immediately points towards Islay. With the distillery left undisclosed, the focus shifts to the whisky itself and to the influence of the cask.

Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled this as a single cask at cask strength after 18 years of maturation, with 673 bottles released. The Pedro Ximénez cask adds a darker, sweeter layer to the robust Islay core, bringing dates and chocolate alongside maritime smoke and peat. It does not turn the whisky into something overly sweet; instead, the PX element gives weight and contrast to the smoky, salty character.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present when someone is (…)

Smokehead Tequila Cask Terminado (Ian Macleod) Incl. Box

In stock

Smokehead Tequila Cask Terminado is a Scottish Islay single malt with a distinctly Smokehead attitude. The core is unmistakably peat-driven, with spice, a light salty edge and a touch of wood, but the tequila cask finish gives this release its particular angle. It takes the bold Islay style in a less conventional direction without losing the smoky identity behind the name.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy peated whisky but also like a cask finish that brings something different to the conversation. There is no age statement here; the focus is on style, cask influence and the contrast between smoke and spice.

Bottled at 43%, Terminado keeps the presentation clear and direct: a Smokehead single malt with an adventurous (…)

Ledaig 1995 (Berry Bros - Berry's Own Selection)

Very last one in stock!

Ledaig 1995 is a single malt from Mull, bottled by Berry Bros as part of Berry's Own Selection. Its appeal lies in the way the whisky is presented: one hogshead, one individual cask, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2022.

A single cask release gives a very focused view of maturation. Rather than representing a broad, standardised style, this bottling captures the development of one particular cask over time. Bottled at cask strength at 45.9%, it keeps that individual cask character close to its original form.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Ledaig we like to point out to customers who appreciate distinctive island single malt: peated, salty and spice-led in profile, with the added interest of being down to the last bottles from a limited (…)

Ardnamurchan Cask Strength

In stock

Ardnamurchan Cask Strength is a Highland single malt with a direct, coastal personality, bottled at 57.7% cask strength. It is presented without chill filtration and with natural colour, keeping the whisky close to its original form rather than smoothing away its edges.

The make-up of the spirit is one of the most telling details here: 87% peated spirit and 13% unpeated spirit. That gives the whisky a firm smoky backbone while still leaving room for fruit, spice and maritime depth. Maturation is mainly in bourbon casks, with a smaller sherry cask component, adding shape without taking the focus away from the distillery character.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to place in front of customers who enjoy robust single malt with a (…)

Hakushu Peated Malt 2021

In stock

Hakushu Peated Malt 2021 shows a distinctly smoky side of Japanese single malt. Rather than being built around an age statement, this release is defined by style: peat, a pronounced salty edge and maturation in American oak give it its direction.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out because of that clear focus. It does not try to be broad or overly decorative; the emphasis is on peat smoke and salinity, supported by lighter touches of wood, spice and floral character.

With only the last bottles remaining and the release marked as a collector's item, Hakushu Peated Malt 2021 carries a natural sense of scarcity. It is a compelling choice for those looking at Japanese single malt through a more peated lens, without the whisky being presented around a (…)

Lochindaal 2010 10y (The Whisky Agency)

In stock

Lochindaal 2010 10y is an Islay single malt with a very individual feel. Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021, it spent ten years in a bourbon barrel. As a single cask release, it is less about repeating a fixed style and more about capturing one particular cask at one particular point in its maturation.

At 53.8% ABV, this is a cask strength bottling, giving it a firm and direct presence. The Islay side comes through in the combination of peat, salinity and spice, while lighter touches of fruit, florality and wood sit more in the background.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to highlight for drinkers who enjoy limited Islay releases with concentration and a clear sense of origin. With only the last bottles remaining, it is also a (…)

Compass Box Peat Monster Cask Strength (Compass Box Limited Edition)

On request only

Compass Box Peat Monster Cask Strength marks the 20th anniversary of The Peat Monster with a limited edition carrying the fitting title Skyscrapers of Smoke. Although the whisky components come from Scotland, the original idea for The Peat Monster was born in the United States, through a collaboration with Park Avenue Liquor Shop in New York City.

For this release, Compass Box deliberately brings that American connection back into focus. Bottled at cask strength at 56.7%, it presents a bigger, more forceful version of the familiar Peat Monster style, with smoke, peat, saltiness and spice pushed further forward. Part of the whisky was finished in specially made spicy American oak casks from Missouri, adding a stronger presence of vanilla and cinnamon.

Laphroaig 2016 10y (Douglas Laing Old Particular)

Only 2 left in stock!

Laphroaig 2016 10y brings together the unmistakable Islay side of Laphroaig with the influence of an ex-red wine cask. Its iodine-rich smoke remains firmly at the centre, but the cask adds a sweeter layer of dark fruit. That contrast gives this 10-year-old single malt a darker, more rounded edge without taking away its coastal, peated identity.

Bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range, this release sits within the Wine Cask Collection. It was distilled in 2016, bottled at 48.4% vol. and presented without colouring or chill filtration. As a single cask release of 384 bottles, it captures one particular cask and one specific maturation path rather than a broad house-style blend.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Islay whisky we like to (…)

Kilchoman 13y

On request only

Kilchoman 13y is a limited edition Islay single malt that speaks clearly of the distillery's hands-on approach. Founded in 2005, Kilchoman is known for its commitment to traditional methods and is among the few Scottish distilleries still working with a traditional malting method.

The maturity here comes from at least 13 years in a combination of bourbon casks, octaves and calvados casks. That cask mix gives the whisky a layered feel, with fruit, sweetness, spice, peat smoke and coastal saltiness all playing a role. It remains unmistakably Islay, but there is more to follow than smoke alone.

For Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Kilchoman that shows a more developed side of the distillery. Bottled at 50%, it has the strength to carry its fruit, (…)

Longrow Red Pinot Noir 15y

Very last one in stock!

Longrow Red Pinot Noir 15y is a Campbeltown single malt with a clear sense of direction. Fifteen years of age, wine maturation and bottling at cask strength give it a firm, expressive profile rather than a polished or softened one.

The Pinot Noir name places this release firmly within the Longrow Red style, where wine maturation plays an important role. What stands out here is the interplay between peat and spice, supported by lighter fruity, floral, woody and salty notes. It is a whisky built on contrast and structure, with the cask influence adding another layer without taking the focus away from the Longrow identity.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would point this bottle towards drinkers who enjoy single malt with presence and a little edge. The 51.4% (…)

Ardmore 2009 10y Nectar (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Single Malts Of Scotland For The Nectar)

On request only

Ardmore 2009 10y Nectar is a Highland single malt with a clear independent bottling identity. Distilled in December 2009 and bottled in October 2020 by The Single Malts of Scotland for The Nectar, it captures Ardmore through one focused release rather than a broad house expression.

Its appeal lies in the combination of a single cask, cask strength bottling and a small outturn of 230 bottles. That makes it a very specific snapshot: one cask, ten years of maturation, and a whisky presented with its strength intact at 57.8%.

The Peated Cask brings peat into the foreground, supported by a notably spicy profile. Wood, fruit, floral notes and a light saline edge sit more quietly around that core. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like for its (…)

Bn9 Elements Of Islay 50cl

Bn9 Elements of Islay 50cl shows Bunnahabhain in a strong, direct style. This Islay single malt was distilled in 2014, matured for 7 years in American oak and bottled at cask strength, reaching 59.1% ABV. It is a whisky built around presence rather than restraint.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for the way it brings together Islay origin, clear peat influence and a spicy profile, while remaining a limited release of 2185 bottles. Within the Elements of Islay range, Bn9 feels like a focused snapshot of Bunnahabhain rather than a broad house-style bottling.

With the last bottles now in circulation, there is an added sense of scarcity around this release. Its appeal lies in that combination of cask strength, limited availability and a flavour (…)

Big Peat Feis Isle 2025 No Giftbox (Douglas Laing Regional Malts)

Only 2 left in stock!

Big Peat Feis Isle 2025 is a special Douglas Laing release created in honour of the annual Feis Isle festival on Islay. In the Big Peat range, this edition leans strongly into the island's identity: a blended malt made from Islay malts, with a profile built around peat smoke, sea air and a distinctly maritime feel.

The 2025 release is shaped by its 2010 vintage and maturation in refill hogshead casks. In this case, the cask choice is about preserving aromatic purity and intensity rather than pushing heavy oak to the front. That allows the smoky, salty side of the whisky to remain central, while gentle wood, spice and fruit notes sit in support.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky for drinkers who enjoy Islay when it speaks with a coastal, smoky (…)

Caol Ila 13y Gmp (Gordon & Mcphail) Tube Incl.

On request only

Caol Ila 13 Year Old by Gordon & MacPhail shows a welcoming side of Islay single malt without losing the island signature. It comes from the Discovery range, created as an accessible introduction to Gordon & MacPhail's single malt portfolio. Caol Ila itself is located on the north-eastern side of Islay, near Port Askaig, and that origin comes through in the whisky's gentle peat smoke and salty edge.

What makes this bottling stand out is the sweet, fruit-led expression of that Islay style. The bourbon cask maturation supports notes of vanilla, apricot jam and tropical fruit, while malt, lemon zest and soft smoke keep the whisky lively and unmistakably coastal. At 13 years old and bottled at 43%, it feels composed, clear and easy to understand without becoming (…)
