    Château Cambon La Pelouse 2016 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from the Médoc, made in the classic Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois style. The estate is based in Macau, close to the border with Margaux, and the 2016 blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, with merlot and a small share of petit verdot adding depth and colour.

    The magnum format gives this vintage an extra point of interest. A 1.5 litre bottle generally evolves more slowly than a standard bottle, allowing the dark fruit, tannic frame and oak ageing to settle together over time. French oak barriques bring the familiar Bordeaux accents of cedar, tobacco and restrained spice around ripe cassis and black fruit.
