Chateau Fleur Cardinale 2020 is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, carrying Grand Cru Classé status. It comes from Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse on the eastern side of Saint-Emilion, where a relatively cool north-facing slope and clay-limestone soils help shape the wine's right-bank Bordeaux identity.The 2020 vintage stands out in the history of the château. Harvest began unusually early, on 17 September, and it was the first vintage to be fully vinified and aged in the estate's new facilities. Merlot forms the core of the blend, supported by Cabernet Franc and a small share of Cabernet Sauvignon, giving the wine its mix of ripe dark fruit, freshness and firm structure.
There is considerable precision behind the bottle: hand harvesting in small crates, several stages of sorting, gravity-fed vats, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and wooden vats. Ageing took place for 12 to 14 months in new French oak barriques, with a portion of old Merlot and old Cabernet Franc also matured in Tava amphorae, a detail linked in the estate information to finer tannin expression.

Ch Fleur Cardinale is a French wine that originates from Saint-Emilion, one of the most renowned wine regions of Bordeaux. The wine estate is officially known as Chateau Fleur Cardinale and is located on the eastern edge of the appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Since 2001, the estate has been owned by the Decoster family, who have since further developed the winery and invested in both the vineyards and wine production. The vineyards cover approximately 23 hectares and are largely planted with Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and a smaller portion of Cabernet Sauvignon, a classic combination for the region.
