Chateau Fleur Cardinale 2020 is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, carrying Grand Cru Classé status. It comes from Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse on the eastern side of Saint-Emilion, where a relatively cool north-facing slope and clay-limestone soils help shape the wine's right-bank Bordeaux identity.
The 2020 vintage stands out in the history of the château. Harvest began unusually early, on 17 September, and it was the first vintage to be fully vinified and aged in the estate's new facilities. Merlot forms the core of the blend, supported by Cabernet Franc and a small share of Cabernet Sauvignon, giving the wine its mix of ripe dark fruit, freshness and firm structure.

It is the grand vin of the Decoster family's estate in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse and carries Grand Cru Classé status, but what really defines it is the link between vineyard site, vintage conditions and the estate's parcel-by-parcel approach.
The 2022 growing season was dry and warm, with a dry spring and a hot, dry summer.
