Château Latour-Martillac Blanc 2021 is the white grand vin of the estate in Martillac, from the Pessac-Léognan appellation in Graves. As a Grand Cru Classé de Graves, it carries a serious Bordeaux identity, shaped here by a 2021 blend of 57% Sauvignon Blanc and 43% Sémillon.The white vines grow on clay-limestone soils on the eastern slopes of the property, a setting noted for natural drainage and a favourable exposure for white grape varieties. The 2021 harvest was relatively late, carried out by hand in small crates and picked parcel by parcel. It was also the first vintage produced under the direction of Edouard Kressmann.
Fermentation took place in barriques, followed by 15 months on the lees, including 10 months in French oak with 25% new barrels. The oak is part of the structure rather than the main message: it supports the creamy middle of the wine, while the Sauvignon Blanc keeps the profile fresh and precise.

Château Latour-Martillac is a wine estate from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, which is part of the Graves area south of the city of Bordeaux. The château owes its name to a medieval tower that can still be found on the estate, a striking historical feature. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the estate has been managed by the Kressmann family, who acquired full ownership in 1929. Château Latour-Martillac is best known for its red and white wines, both of which are included among the Crus Classés de Graves according to the 1953 and 1959 classifications. The vineyards consist of a mix of classic Bordeaux grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot for red, and Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle for white. Modern craftsmanship and respect for tradition are central to the production, with both technology and manual selection methods being used to ensure quality.
