In the 1.5 litre magnum format, it feels generous at the table while keeping the composed style that defines this release.The wine comes from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru and is made entirely from merlot grown in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, in the eastern part of Saint-Émilion. The grapes were harvested by hand and vinified in stainless steel, followed by ageing in barriques with around 30% new oak; tasting information also notes that part of the wine remained in tank. Saintayme is a French wine that comes from the Saint-Émilion region in Bordeaux. This wine comes from vineyards located in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. Saintayme is produced by Denis Durantou, a renowned winemaker who was also responsible for several other respected chateaus in Bordeaux, such as L'Église-Clinet in Pomerol. Saintayme is known as a single vineyard wine, which means that the grapes come from a specific vineyard with an area of about 9 hectares. The wine is made entirely from Merlot grapes, which is typical for many wines from Saint-Émilion.
