Product info about Chateau Rouget 2022
Château Rouget 2022 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux and the estate's first wine. The blend is led by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc, with fruit coming from vineyards on and around the Pomerol plateau, where clay and gravel soils are central to the wine's identity.The 2022 vintage was a notable one at Château Rouget. Harvest began on 6 September, the earliest ever recorded at the estate. Grapes were picked by hand, carried in small crates and carefully sorted in the cellar. The producer describes the winemaking as low-intervention, with maturation including 30% new barrels. Although the growing season was very warm and yields were low because of smaller berries, the estate describes the must as ripe yet fresh.

Château Rouget is a French wine producer from the renowned Bordeaux region and focuses mainly on making red wines originating from the Pomerol appellation.
