Caroni Paradise 1998 #2 (Velier) Incl. Box
Very last one in stock!
Caroni Paradise 1998 #2 is a Trinidad molasses rum bottled by Velier, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2023. It comes from a single bourbon barrel and was released at cask strength, 56.3%, with only 230 bottles drawn from that one cask.
The interest here lies in the concentration of the release. This is not a broad, blended expression, but a very specific barrel selection with a clear sense of scarcity. As a collector's item and with the last bottles indicated, it occupies a special place among the more limited rums in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection.
Its profile is built around wood, spice and fruit, supported by lighter floral and vegetal notes. The data does not point toward a sweet style, so the emphasis is more on structure, cask influence and the (…)Riviere Du Mat Single Cask 2003 Incl. Box

Riviere Du Mat Single Cask 2003 Incl. Box

Rivière Du Mat Single Cask 2003 is a rum from Réunion Island with a very focused identity. Made from sugar cane juice, distilled in a traditional column and drawn from a single bourbon cask, it gives the drinker a direct view of one particular maturation rather than a broader blended style.
The bourbon cask influence comes through in the way the profile leans towards wood, spice and fruit. It is not built around sweetness; the lighter floral and vegetal touches sit more quietly in the background, adding detail to the sugar cane juice character. At 46%, it has enough presence to carry that cask-driven style without making strength the main subject.

Hampden Lrok 2010 is a Jamaican molasses rum with a clear sense of origin and style. Distilled in 2010, aged for 11 years and made using pot still distillation, it presents itself as a rum with a defined identity rather than a broadly polished, anonymous bottling.
Its bourbon barrel maturation gives the rum a firm woody backbone, while fruit and spice remain clearly present. Sweetness is not the central theme here; the profile feels more driven by structure, cask influence and drier flavour elements, with a lighter floral and vegetal edge in the background.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are appreciated because they show rum as a serious spirit with provenance, age and maturation all playing a visible role. With only the last bottles remaining, (…)Dillon XO Giftbox

Dillon XO Giftbox is a Martinique rum made from sugar cane juice and produced through traditional column distillation. That gives it a clear sense of origin and style, with the cane-based character remaining part of the picture rather than being hidden behind the cask.
The XO name and giftbox presentation give this release a more polished feel. Bourbon cask ageing brings a defined woody side, supported by spice and fruit, while the profile is not built around obvious sweetness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Dillon we would place in front of someone looking for Martinique rum with structure, cask influence and a neatly presented bottle for gifting or enjoying with attention.

There is a clear sense of precision here. This is molasses-based pot still rum from Jamaica, distilled in 1998 and bottled in July 2022 from cask #27854. Rather than presenting a blended house style, it captures one specific cask at one specific point in time.
Only 205 bottles were released, and with the last bottles now remaining, it holds a distinctive place in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection for drinkers who enjoy limited single cask rum. Assemlage #1 2008 13y by Rest & Be Thankful is a Jamaican molasses rum, and the name already gives a clear sense of its composition: Clarendon 2007, Long Pond 2005, NY 2005 and WP 2008. Rather than presenting a broad, anonymous blend, it brings several Jamaican components and vintages together in one bottling.
The rum combines pot still and column distillation, giving the blend more range within its Jamaican identity. Maturation in bourbon barrel and bottling at 46% place it in a serious but approachable strength range, while the 13-year age statement gives it the standing of a mature Jamaican rum.

Clarendon 1984 40y is a Jamaican molasses rum with a genuinely scarce feel. Distilled in 1984 and bottled in July 2024 after 40 years of maturation, this Daily Dram release from The Nectar brings four decades of ageing into a single, uncompromised bottling.
It comes from one bourbon barrel, bottled at natural cask strength at 64.2%, with only 90 bottles released. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is exactly the kind of rum that stands out through substance rather than volume: Jamaican origin, pot still distillation, serious age and the directness of a single cask.
The style is powerful and mature, with wood, spice and fruit all playing an important role. It is a rum for slow tasting, where the interest lies in the concentration of one individual cask and the way (…)Jamaica 2008 (Berry Bros)

Jamaica 2008 from Berry's Own Selection is a rum built around a clear sense of place and cask identity. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023, it brings together Jamaican origin, Madeira maturation and the focused nature of a single cask release.
Bottled at cask strength, it keeps its full 54.5% character rather than being softened down to a lower strength. That gives this rum a more direct presence in the glass and makes the individual cask feel central to the experience.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits among the more characterful rum selections: structured by wood, spice and fruit, with enough individuality to make it stand apart from broader, sweeter styles. A1710 Nuée Ardente is a Martinique rum blend with a notably layered composition. It brings together 11 outstanding rums, each aged between 6 and 22 years in oak casks. Rather than relying on a single note, it is built around maturation, blending and aromatic depth.
After this long ageing, the blend is further matured in French oak casks that previously held Cognac brandy. That finishing stage adds a more polished, mature dimension, giving room to wood, spice and fruit while keeping the rum expressive. The use of pot still and column distillation helps shape a broad profile, combining structure with clarity.

The refill barrel maturation leaves room for the spirit to speak. Wood is certainly part of the profile, but the rum is also marked by fruit, spice and a light vegetal edge, giving it more tension than a purely wood-driven bottling.

The make-up of the rum is particularly interesting. Cristalline cane sugar syrup, fermented with vinasses, is blended with fresh sugar cane juice, then double distilled in a Müller pot still. That combination gives the rum its lively cane-driven feel, with fruit, spice and a gentle vegetal edge rather than an overtly sweet profile.
