Saint James Single Cask 1997

On request only

Saint James Single Cask 1997 is an agricole rum from Martinique, distilled at Saint James in 1997. Its appeal lies in the fact that it comes from a single cask, giving a more individual view of the distillery than a broader blended release.

Made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a traditional column still, it matured in oak, specifically a bourbon barrel. That cask influence is an important part of the story here, bringing wood and spice into focus while still leaving room for fruit, gentle sweetness and a subtle vegetal note.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present to customers who want to explore agricole rum with maturity and depth. The 1997 vintage, the single cask origin and the bourbon barrel maturation give it a (…)

Saint James 2010 12y Velier

On request only

Saint James 2010 12y Velier carries a clear sense of Martinique rum heritage. The supplied information describes Saint James as the oldest distillery in Martinique, founded in 1765, and this AOC agricole rum follows that identity closely: made from sugar cane juice, distilled in a Creole column and matured for twelve years in bourbon casks.

Its appeal lies in the depth that comes from maturation without losing the aromatic drive of agricole rum. Wood and spice are clearly present, supported by gentler touches of fruit, sweetness, floral notes and a light vegetal edge. At 45%, it has enough structure to carry those layers while keeping the focus on flavour rather than sheer strength.

Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this Saint James stands out (…)

Saint James Single Cask 2003 Incl. Box

Only 3 left in stock!

Saint James Single Cask 2003 is a Martinique rum made from sugar cane juice, distilled in a traditional column and drawn from a single bourbon barrel. That single cask origin is central to its appeal: this is one individual maturation, bottled as its own expression rather than folded into a broader blend.

Distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2022, it carries 18 years of age at 42.3% alcohol. The producer's description places it as the closing release in the series, balancing Saint James tradition with a more modern style of expression.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would point out to someone interested in the dialogue between cane juice, cask ageing and individual barrel selection. Wood and spice form the clearest part of its profile, (…)

Uitvlught 1992 32y For The Nectar (Famille Ricci Exception)

In stock

Uitvlught 1992 32y For The Nectar is a Guyanese molasses rum with a very defined sense of place. It comes from the Uitvlught distillery and was distilled on the Column Savalle Uitvlught Still, a detail that helps explain the individuality of this release rather than simply serving as technical background.

It matured exclusively in bourbon barrels and was bottled by Famille Ricci as part of the Ricci Exception range. At 56.4% alcohol, it remains close to cask strength in feel: direct, mature and made for slow tasting rather than casual sipping.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we place in front of customers who appreciate a bottle with a clear identity and genuine scarcity. It is a single cask release of only 190 bottles, now down to the last (…)

Bally Art Deco N°1

Only 2 left in stock!

Bally Art Deco N°1 is a special edition from J. Bally in Martinique, made as an agricole rum and distilled in a traditional column. Its identity is built around craft: the distillation, the blending, and the idea of presenting rum with a more artistic sense of refinement. The Art Deco name suits that position well, suggesting a cuvée shaped with attention to style as much as flavour.

Martinique is central to the story here. The rum carries the freshness of sugar cane, a touch of tropical fruit and a light vegetal note, all supported by maturation in American oak. That oak influence brings wood, gentle spice and a rounded sweetness, giving the agricole base more depth without taking away its origin-driven character.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is (…)

Appleton 17y Legend

In stock

Appleton 17y Legend is a Jamaican molasses rum with a sense of occasion around it. Its 17 years of age and collector's item status give it a different presence from an everyday rum, while the name Legend makes clear that this is positioned as a special Appleton release.

The rum brings together pot still and column distillation, giving it a broader foundation rather than tying it to one narrow style. Maturation in bourbon barrels supports the more mature side of the profile, with wood and spice standing out as the key elements.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would introduce this as a bottle for someone looking for a more serious Jamaican Appleton: aged, bottled at 49%, and shaped around a firm wood-and-spice character with lighter fruit, sweetness and subtle (…)

Diamond 2014 8y Dhe Nr42 (Nobilis Rum) Incl. Box

Very last one in stock!

Diamond 2014 8y DHE Nr42 is a Guyanese rum with a very precise identity: distilled in 2014, aged for 8 years and bottled at 54.3% ABV. That strength immediately sets the tone. This is not presented as a light, casual rum, but as a bottling with a firmer presence.

The product name already carries much of the story. Diamond, Guyana, 2014, 8 years and the Nr42 reference place it in a more specific corner than a standard everyday rum. At Drankenshop Broekmans, a bottle like this is the kind of rum we would point out to someone who values clear origin, age and strength in the glass.

With only the last bottles remaining, availability is also part of the picture. Not as a dramatic claim, simply as a useful detail: this Diamond 2014 8y DHE Nr42 is no longer broadly (…)

Guyana 1990 26y (Cadenhead)

On request only

Guyana 1990 26y from Cadenhead's is the kind of rum where the details point to a very clear story: molasses-based Guyanese rum, distilled in 1990 and bottled in October 2017 after 26 years of maturation. That length of time gives the bottle a serious, mature presence before the glass is even poured.

It comes from a single cask, matured in a bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength at 57.2%. Together with pot still distillation, that places the emphasis on concentration and individuality rather than on a polished, standardised house style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy the personality of one specific cask. The fact that only the last bottles remain adds to its limited nature, but the real interest lies in the style (…)

Nine Leaves 2018 7y Armagnac (Velier)

On request only

Nine Leaves 2018 7y Armagnac is a Japanese rum made from kokuto black sugar, distilled in a pot still and matured in Armagnac casks. It is a release with a very clear identity, where the raw material, the distillation method and the cask choice all play an active role in shaping the spirit.

The rum was composed from three 300-litre Armagnac casks and aged for 7 years. Bottling at 59% keeps the profile intense and close to the cask, with wood and spice standing out most clearly, while fruit, floral notes, sweetness and a light vegetal edge add detail rather than softness.

With 923 bottles produced and only the last bottles remaining, this is the kind of focused, small-scale release that has a natural place in the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans. Its appeal (…)

Domaine Ricci Unique Blend N°2 50cl (Famille Ricci)

On request only

Domaine Ricci Unique Blend N°2 is built around contrast and selection. It brings together rum from Guyana 2004, Jamaica 2017 and Nicaragua 2004, drawn from TDL, Worthy Park and Compania Licorera de Nicaragua. The blend combines pot still and column still distillation, giving the release more than one voice from the start.

Maturation in bourbon casks gives the rum a clear frame, while the tasting profile points toward wood, spice, floral lift and a touch of fruit. Bottled at 54.1%, it is presented with real intensity, the kind of strength that suits a rum with sandalwood, cacao, vanilla and cooling eucalyptus notes in its aromatic range.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy blends with a defined composition rather than a (…)

Bonpland St Lucia 14y 50cl

Bonpland St Lucia 14y is a molasses rum from St. Lucia, distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2016 after fourteen years of ageing. It is made in a traditional column style and given a wine finish, bringing the focus clearly onto maturation and cask selection.

The appeal here lies in the precision of the release. This is a single cask bottling, with 705 bottles drawn from that one cask. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who enjoy knowing exactly what they are tasting: origin, age, distillation style and cask influence all clearly defined.

Trinidad 2007 16y (Campbeltown Whisky Company - Watt Whisky)

Very last one in stock!

Trinidad 2007 16y from Watt Whisky is a molasses rum built around the character of one individual cask. Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023 after 16 years of ageing, it was drawn from a refill barrel, giving this release a very specific identity rather than a broad house-style expression.

Bottled at cask strength, 57.1%, it presents itself in a direct and uncompromised way. The traditional column distillation and single cask origin point to a rum where the details of origin, maturation and cask selection matter.

Only 264 bottles were released, and the fact that these are the last bottles adds to the sense of scarcity. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we place in front of customers who enjoy independent bottlings and want to explore Trinidad (…)

Caroni Paradise 1994 #3 (Velier) Incl. Box

Very last one in stock!

Caroni Paradise 1994 #3 is a Trinidad rum built around precision and scarcity: one cask, one vintage, one very small release. Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2023, it spent 29 years maturing in a bourbon barrel before being bottled at 52.8%.

Only 215 bottles were drawn from this single cask, giving the rum a very specific identity. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures the character of one individual barrel after long maturation. Its collector's item status follows naturally from that limited scale and clearly defined origin.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Velier bottling sits among the rums we would point out to customers interested in mature, rare molasses rum with a strong cask-driven personality. Wood and spice form the main structure, (…)

Caroni Paradise 1996 #1 by Velier is a Trinidad molasses rum with a very focused identity. Distilled in 1996 in a traditional column style and bottled in 2023, it carries the weight of a long maturation without being softened down before release.

The rum comes from a single bourbon barrel and was bottled at cask strength, 62.7%. Only 213 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now in circulation, its collectible nature is part of the story rather than an afterthought.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we place in front of someone looking for intensity, scarcity and a clear cask-driven personality. The Velier name, the Trinidad origin and the single cask format all point in the same direction: a powerful, limited rum for serious (…)

Tres Hombres Isla Bonita 1997 50cl

Tres Hombres Isla Bonita 1997 is the kind of rum that stands out because of how specifically it is presented. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2019, it spent 22 years developing before being released at cask strength, with its 50% alcohol giving it a firm, undiluted presence.

This is a Spanish molasses rum, made through traditional column distillation and connected to a solera system. The Madeira finish adds another maturation element, while the single cask release keeps the focus on one particular parcel rather than a broad blend.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy maturity, cask influence and a bottling with a clearly defined identity. With the last bottles now indicated, it has become an even more focused choice for (…)

Riviere Du Mat Agricole 6y Incl. Box

Only 2 left in stock!

Rivière Du Mat Agricole 6y is a sugar cane juice rum from Île de Réunion, distilled in a traditional column style. That cane juice origin gives it a clear identity within rum: more directly linked to the raw material than a molasses-based style.

Six years in bourbon casks bring wood and spice clearly into the picture, while sweetness is not the main theme here. The profile is more about cask structure, spice and a light vegetal edge, with gentle fruity and floral touches in the background.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Rivière Du Mat as a fine choice for discovering aged agricole-style rum from Réunion, especially when the appeal lies in cane character supported by measured barrel influence.

Diamond 2005 19y Sv (Nobilis Rum) Incl. Box

Diamond 2005 19y Sv is a Guyanese rum with a distinctly limited feel. A 2005 vintage, 19 years of age and a total outturn of just 151 bottles make it a far more focused release than a standard shelf rum.

Its strength of 61.2% gives the bottling a serious presence. This is the kind of rum to approach slowly, with time in the glass, especially for drinkers who appreciate powerful, small-release bottlings rather than widely available expressions.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, a rum like this stands out because it brings together origin, age and scarcity in a very direct way. The indication that only the last bottles remain adds to the sense that this is a release with a limited window of availability.

Karukera Black Alligator Small Batch 1l

On request only

Karukera Black Alligator Small Batch is a Guadeloupe rum with a clear focus on cask influence. Made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a traditional column style, it is finished in toasted barrels, bringing wood and spice firmly into the picture.

The Black Alligator name fits that darker, toasted direction. This is not a rum built around overt sweetness; its personality is drier, more structured, with the barrel adding depth while the cane-juice origin still shows through in lighter floral, fruity and vegetal touches.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a distinctive choice for drinkers looking for Guadeloupe rum with extra strength and toasted wood character. Bottled at 45% in a Small Batch format, it has drawn steady interest and is now down to its (…)

Dbm Rhum Tres Vieux Vo

DBM Rhum Très Vieux VO is produced by Distillerie Bonne Mère in Guadeloupe, a distillery founded in 1863 and described as one of the island's oldest still in operation. That background gives this rum a strong sense of origin, rooted in Guadeloupe tradition.

Made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a traditional column, it spends at least three years in oak casks. The oak influence is refined rather than dominant, bringing gentle structure to a style built around tropical fruit, soft spice and a subtle touch of wood.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a fine introduction to Guadeloupe rum for drinkers who enjoy elegance over heaviness. With its 43% alcohol strength, it has enough presence to carry the flavour while keeping a smooth, (…)

Neisson 2021 Straight From The Barrel Vieux Cognac

In stock

Neisson 2021 Straight From The Barrel Vieux Cognac is a cask strength agricole rum from Martinique, made from sugar cane juice and bottled at 58.9%. It has the directness suggested by its name: a rum kept close to the barrel, with concentration and presence rather than a polished, softened style.

It spent four years maturing in a 600-litre Cognac cask. The warm, humid conditions of the Vevert warehouses give it notable depth, while the cane-driven identity remains part of the conversation. The supplied profile points to a generous mix of fruit, spice, wood, floral touches and herbal accents.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy the more intense side of Martinique agricole. It is powerful, layered and expressive, with enough (…)
