Ardbeg Anthology 13y
In stock
Ardbeg Anthology 13y is an Islay single malt built around a combination of bourbon and Sauternes casks. It stays close to the smoky, peated identity associated with Ardbeg, while the cask choice gives this 13-year-old release a more layered setting than a straightforward Islay bottling.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we place in conversation with customers who enjoy peat and spice, but also appreciate a release with a slightly different angle. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its character clearly without being positioned as a cask strength whisky.
With only the last bottles remaining, this Anthology edition has become a more limited proposition. It is not just about rarity, though; the interest lies in the meeting of (…)Laphroaig 10y Cask Strength B13

Laphroaig 10y Cask Strength B13 is a(n) whisky from Scotland by the brand Laphroaig. It falls within the whisky group under the category Single Malt. This whisky comes from the Islay region. It is one of the many references you can currently buy online at Drankenshop Broekmans.
IMPORTANT: This whisky from Laphroaig will never return once it is sold out. If you want to be sure that this Laphroaig will shine in your bar cabinet, don't wait too long to order!
This whisky is matured in Bourbon Barrel barrels. It is a version of 70 cl and has an alcohol content of 57,9%.
The whisky was bottled at cask strength. What does cask strength mean? A cask strength whisky is not diluted with water before bottling, but goes straight from the cask into the (…)Croftenga 2017 5y Ww (Campbeltown Whisky Company)

Croftenga 2017 5y Ww (Campbeltown Whisky Company)

Croftenga 2017 5y Ww is a Scottish Highland single malt associated with Loch Lomond. Its main appeal lies in its precision: this is a single cask whisky from one bourbon barrel, rather than a broader vatting. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2022, it captures a specific five-year maturation rather than a polished house-style blend of casks.
At 57.1% ABV, it is presented at cask strength, giving the whisky a firm and direct presence. The profile points towards clear peat and spice, with lighter fruity and salty touches in support. That combination makes it a more assertive young Highland malt, shaped by intensity rather than softness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for their small-scale character and their sense of immediacy. With (…)Laphroaig 10y Cask Strength 2019 Batch11

Laphroaig 10y Cask Strength 2019 Batch 11 shows the Islay single malt in a more forceful form. At 58.6% ABV, this 10-year-old release is built around intensity, with peat and spice taking the lead rather than a softened, rounded presentation.
The oak cask maturation gives the whisky its foundation, while the flavour direction remains firmly focused: smoky, spicy, lightly salty and supported by a modest fruit note. It is a bottling with a clear identity, especially for those who want Laphroaig with extra weight and presence.
Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, Batch 11 is the kind of release we place in front of customers who already know they enjoy a stronger Islay style. With the last bottles now available, this 2019 batch also carries a sense of (…)Port Charlotte 2002 #1195 (Rest & Be Thankful)

Port Charlotte 2002 #1195 (Rest & Be Thankful)

Port Charlotte 2002 #1195 is a sharply defined Islay single malt: one cask, one vintage, and a very small outturn. Bottled by Bruichladdich as a single cask release at natural cask strength, it comes in at 56.3% ABV, with only 220 bottles produced.
Its 19 years of maturation and Wine Matured cask background give the whisky its framework, though the profile is not driven by oak. The emphasis sits more clearly on peat, spice and a gentle coastal saltiness, with fruit playing a supporting role rather than taking the lead.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we value for its focus: cask #1195 captures one particular side of Port Charlotte rather than a broad, standard release. With only the last bottles remaining, its limited nature is very much (…)Laphroaig 10y Sherry Finish

Laphroaig 10y Sherry Finish starts from a very recognisable Islay foundation: a 10-year-old Scottish single malt where peat and spice play a clear role. The sherry finish gives this release its own angle within the Laphroaig range, adding another layer without taking it away from its island identity.
Bottled at 48%, it has enough strength to carry that smoky, spiced character with confidence. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a fine choice for drinkers who enjoy the peated side of Islay and want to explore how a sherry finish shapes that profile.

Bowmore 10y Devil's Casks Batch 1 is an Islay single malt with a deliberately forceful identity. Aged for 10 years, sherry matured and bottled at cask strength at 56.9%, it is built around impact rather than understatement. The name Devil's Casks gives a fair sense of the mood: bold, smoky and spicy in character.
As the first batch, limited to 6000 bottles, this release also carries clear collector interest. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see it as a distinctive Bowmore for those who appreciate the meeting point between Islay peat, sherry maturation and natural cask-strength intensity.

Connemara Distillers Edition is an Irish single malt with a clearly smoky and spicy direction. Rather than leaning on an age statement, it presents itself through style: peat, oak cask maturation and a flavour profile with real presence.
The oak cask influence supports the whiskey without making wood the whole story. Peated smoke and spice sit at the centre, with lighter touches of fruit and a subtle salty edge around them. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a good choice for customers looking for an Irish single malt with more depth and smoky definition.

Caol Ila 18y is a Scottish single malt from Islay where peat and maturity meet in a restrained, grown-up way. The Islay identity is clearly part of the whisky, yet the 18 years of ageing give it a calmer and more developed presence than a purely forceful peated style.
Matured in oak cask and bottled at 43%, it sits in a classic strength range while keeping the focus on its island character. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Caol Ila we would point to when someone wants a peated Islay single malt with a little more age, supported by gentle fruit, light spice and a salty accent.

Caisteal Chamuis Peated is a Scottish blended malt with a clear sense of direction: peat is central, supported by a pronounced spicy side. Bottled at 46% and released without an age statement, it is presented more through style and flavour character than through a specific maturation age.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits in the range as a smoky whisky with more going on than peat alone. The profile points to a clear combination of smoke and spice, with lighter fruity, floral and salty touches around it. Oak does not appear to be the main driver here, so the focus stays on peat, seasoning and fresher accents.

Finlaggan Eilean Mor is a Scottish single malt from Islay, built around a clearly peated style. Bottled at 46%, it carries a little more weight than many lower-strength malts, while keeping the focus away from age statement detail and firmly on character.
The bourbon cask maturation frames a profile where peat is the main feature, supported by lighter notes of fruit, spice and salinity. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a straightforward Islay choice for drinkers who want smoke to be present and recognisable, with a few surrounding nuances rather than an overly technical presentation.

Maturation in charred casks gives the whisky a firm setting for its peated character. The smoke is the main feature, supported by lighter salty, spicy and fruity touches that add detail without pulling the whisky away from its core.

The distinctive element here is the way Talisker's salty, smoky house style is joined by a volcanic finish in American oak. The wood influence is present but restrained, giving space to black pepper, peat smoke and coastal character rather than covering them.

Bourbon cask maturation provides the setting, but the main impression is shaped by the clearly present Islay elements: peat, saltiness and spice take the lead, with a lighter fruit note sitting behind them. It brings together malt whisky from two characterful Islay distilleries and is bottled at cask strength, at 54.5% ABV.
