Johnnie Walker Blue Label Year Of The Snake is a Scottish blended whisky created for the Chinese New Year celebrations on 29 January 2025. This luxury limited edition takes its inspiration from the mysterious Year of the Snake and presents Blue Label in a festive, visually striking form.
The collaboration with artist James Jean gives the Lunar New Year 2025 release much of its identity. It is a bottle with a strong cultural and artistic angle, made to stand apart from the regular presentation of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this edition naturally draws attention because it brings together Johnnie Walker Blue Label, a Scottish blended whisky style and a seasonal limited release. With only the last bottles remaining, it is especially (…)Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Finish Incl. Box

Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Finish Incl. Box

Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Finish is a Highland single malt shaped by its Burgundy cask finish. Rather than presenting itself as a heavy wood-driven whisky, it leans into a fruit-led style, supported by gentle spice, a light floral touch and a modest influence of oak.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly approachable Scottish single malt for drinkers who enjoy fruit and cask nuance without peat smoke taking over. Bottled at 43%, it keeps a smooth, easy-going profile while the Burgundy Finish gives it its own clear identity.

Tomintoul Caribbean Rum Finish

Tomintoul Caribbean Rum Finish brings a warmer, more dessert-like accent to Speyside single malt. Distilled at Tomintoul Distillery, founded in 1965, it is made from malted barley and matured in small batches in first-fill American bourbon casks before being finished in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks.
That rum cask finish is central to its personality. It adds a sweeter, more tropical layer to Tomintoul's unpeated style, with fruit, pastry notes and gentle spice taking the lead rather than smoke. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to introduce when someone enjoys Speyside whisky but wants to explore a fruitier, more indulgent interpretation.
Bottled at 40% vol. and without an age statement, the focus is on approachable aroma and (…)Ardmore 2018 7y Rum Cask Finish (Douglas Laing Old Particular) Tube Incl.

Ardmore 2018 7y Rum Cask Finish (Douglas Laing Old Particular) Tube Incl.

Ardmore 2018 7y Rum Cask Finish is the kind of Highland single malt that explains the appeal of independent bottling in a very direct way. Douglas Laing, a respected Scottish family bottler since 1948, selected a single Ardmore cask and gave it room to show its own personality rather than smoothing it into a house style.
This release belongs to the Paradise In Smoke Collection, a series built around the meeting point between peated Scotch whisky and Caribbean rum casks. For this Ardmore, the finish took place in a Jamaican rum cask. That adds a more tropical, ripe-fruited layer to the earthy and elegantly smoky style described for the distillery in the supplied information.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this stand out because they feel specific (…)Macallan Amber Meadow The Harmony Collection Incl. Box

Macallan Amber Meadow The Harmony Collection is a Speyside single malt Scotch from Macallan's Harmony Collection. The name gives the release a gentle, open feel: more meadow and amber than smoke or maritime edge. That impression fits the supplied flavour profile, where fruit is the clearest element, supported by lighter floral, woody and spicy accents.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this bottle among the Macallan releases that carry interest beyond the glass as well, since it is marked as a collector's item. It has no age statement and is bottled at 44.2%, so the focus is less on a stated number of years and more on the particular style of this Harmony Collection release.

Dalrymple 2012 11y (Campbeltown Whisky Company - Watt Whisky)

Dalrymple 2012 11y is a Scottish Lowland blended malt bottled by Watt Whisky for the Campbeltown Whisky Company. Its appeal lies in its precision: this is a single cask release from one hogshead, rather than a broad multi-cask composition. That gives the whisky the feel of a particular cask captured at a particular stage of its life.
Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2024, it carries an 11 year age statement and comes at 57.1% ABV. With only 294 bottles filled, and now down to the last bottles, it has the quiet scarcity that often makes independent bottlings so engaging.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to place in front of curious whisky drinkers: a Lowland blended malt with fruit clearly at the centre, supported by gentle wood, (…)Macduff 2007 14y Mos (Vintage Casks Mossburn)

Macduff 2007 14y Mos (Vintage Casks Mossburn)

Macduff 2007 14 Year Old Mossburn is a Highland single malt with a very focused identity. Distilled in 2007 and bottled on 16 November 2021, it comes from Mossburn's Vintage Casks range, where the emphasis is on individual cask selection rather than a broad house style.
This release was drawn from a single cask and bottled at cask strength, at 56.4%. The Port Finish gives the whisky an additional frame around its clearly fruity side, while wood, spice and floral notes remain lighter supporting elements. There is no peated emphasis here; the interest lies more in fruit, strength and the individuality of the cask.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottling that rewards a closer look: an independently bottled Macduff with Highland roots, 14 (…)Blair Athol 2013 12y (Adelphi)

Blair Athol 2013 12y presents a fresh, fruit-led side of this Highland distillery from Pitlochry. Blair Athol is known for a rich, malty style, yet this cask selected by Adelphi brings forward a more elegant and finely drawn expression of the spirit.
Matured for 12 years in a First Fill Bourbon Barrel and bottled at cask strength, 58.3%, it has the directness and concentration one expects from a single cask release. The bourbon barrel adds creaminess, vanilla and depth, while the distillery character remains clearly in view.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Highland single malt we like to introduce to customers who enjoy whiskies with a clear sense of origin and cask identity. As one individual cask with the last bottles now available, it (…)Auchroisk 2008 15y (Alistair Walker - Infrequent Flyers)

Auchroisk 2008 15y is a Speyside single malt where the appeal lies in the detail. Distilled on 18 April 2008 and bottled on 1 May 2023, it spent 15 years maturing before being released by Alistair Walker as part of the Infrequent Flyers range.
This is a single cask whisky, bottled at cask strength at 56.6%, with a Port Finish. The available profile points towards a fruit-led style, supported by lighter floral, woody and spicy tones. Only 270 bottles came from this cask, so this is not a broad distillery expression but a very specific snapshot of one maturation.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone looking for a Speyside malt without peat smoke or a salty edge. Bottled at 44.2%, it has a little more presence than many standard-strength releases, while keeping the emphasis firmly on its approachable fruity side.

The whisky comes from a refill barrel and was bottled at cask strength, at 57.1% ABV. Kavalan Classic has a meaningful place in Kavalan's story, as it was the distillery's very first reference. It introduces the house style through a Taiwanese single malt with a distinctly fruity, perfumed and exotic personality.
The sense of origin is part of its appeal. The producer points to the fresh air of Taiwan's north-eastern region and the pure water from the Hsuehshan mountains as influences on the whisky's character. Rather than leaning on smoke, this is a malt shaped around fruit, floral tones and gentle spice.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Kavalan Classic as a bottle that helps explain why Taiwanese single malt has found such an appreciative audience. Bottled at 40% in a 50 cl format, and with only limited bottles remaining, it is a thoughtful (…)Kavalan Distillery Select Incl. Box

Its most striking feature is the long, wine-influenced finish. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo cask pushes the whisky towards a richer, fruit-led style, with spice and liveliness adding shape rather than heaviness. It is a bold Speyside expression, clearly marked by the cask, yet still dynamic in the glass.

As a Lowland single malt, it leans towards fruit, soft sweetness and gentle spice rather than smoke. Maturation in bourbon casks, sherry casks and STR Wine Barriques gives it several points of interest, with vanilla, honeyed notes and fruit sitting at the heart of the style.

For this Mannochmore, the Merlot red wine cask finish brings the fruit to the foreground. Sagamore Spirit Rye is a modern Maryland-style rye whiskey built around contrast and balance. It uses grains from the local farming community and brings together two different rye whiskies: a high-rye and a low-rye. That blend gives it more depth than a rye driven by spice alone.
Both components are triple distilled and matured for 4 to 6 years before being blended in small batches of 20 barrels. The result is a rye with clear spice, but also a rounder side shaped by fruit, honeyed sweetness and gentle oak.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a strong introduction to American rye with enough personality to keep experienced whiskey drinkers interested. Bottled at 46.5%, it has the weight to carry its spice and fruit without losing the smoothness that sits (…)Deanston 12y Tube Incl.
