Kilchoman Sanaig Mini

Kilchoman Sanaig Mini is a small-format introduction to an Islay single malt with real presence. Bottled at 46%, it carries a style where peat, wood influence, spice and fruit all play a clear role.
The whisky is shaped by a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, giving Sanaig more than a straightforward smoky profile. There is structure from the wood, a spicy edge, a fruity side and a lighter saline touch that keeps it connected to its Islay origin.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this miniature makes sense as a tasting bottle: a practical way to explore Kilchoman Sanaig before choosing a larger bottle, or to compare it alongside other Islay single malts.

Kilchoman Family Collection 20 Years Bourbon Barrel is a significant release for Kilchoman. This 20-year-old Islay single malt is described as the distillery's oldest official release to date, giving it a special place within the Family Collection.
Matured in bourbon barrels and made from heavily peated malt, it shows a more mature side of the Kilchoman style. After twenty years, the peat is no longer simply bold and upfront; it has become integrated into a refined structure shaped by fruit, soft spice, wood and a gentle coastal saltiness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for peated Islay whisky with real age behind it. The smoke is still clearly part of the identity, but the emphasis is on elegance, (…)Kilchoman Sanaig 20cl

Kilchoman Sanaig 20cl

Kilchoman Sanaig is an Islay single malt with a clear sense of place. It takes its name from a creek near the distillery, a small detail that keeps the whisky closely connected to its surroundings.
Sanaig has become a permanent reference in the Kilchoman range and is built from equal parts ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. That combination gives it room for fruit, spice, wood influence and peat smoke, with each part contributing to the overall style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this 20cl bottle is a particularly approachable way to get to know Kilchoman Sanaig without immediately choosing a full-size bottle. It is bottled at 46%, without artificial colouring and without chill filtration, keeping the whisky close to its natural character.

Very last one in stock!
Laphroaig 2000 25y #4078 is a very focused Islay single malt: distilled in 2000, matured for 25 years and drawn from one individual cask. Signatory bottled it as part of the Symington's Choice range at natural cask strength, so the personality of cask #4078 remains firmly in view.
The Oloroso Sherry cask gives the whisky a defined maturation context, while the supplied profile points to a style where peat, fruit, spice and wood all have a clear role. A lighter salty accent adds to the Islay impression, and at 54.5% the whisky keeps a concentrated, unpolished presence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are selected for drinkers who enjoy the detail of a single cask rather than the predictability of a larger batch. With only the last bottles (…)Laphroaig 30y Ian Hunter Batch 2

Laphroaig 30y Ian Hunter Batch 2 is a mature Islay single malt with a very clear sense of place and purpose. Distilled in 1989, aged for 30 years and bottled at cask strength at 48.2%, it keeps a direct link to the cask while carrying the weight and development of long maturation.
The Oloroso Sherry cask is an important part of its identity. The available flavour profile points to clear wood influence, spice, fruit and peat, with a lighter salty note alongside them. That gives this release a layered Islay character: peat remains an essential part of the picture, but it sits together with mature, sherried and spiced dimensions.
Only 4,800 bottles were released, and the product is marked as being down to its last bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, a bottling (…)Kilchoman Sanaig Incl. Box

Expected: 01/11/2026Kilchoman Sanaig is an Islay single malt shaped by a marriage of ex-bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks. That combination gives it a clear identity within the Kilchoman range: peat smoke at the centre, with fruit, spice and oak influence adding depth around it.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Sanaig is one of those Kilchoman releases we like to introduce when someone wants Islay character with a little more cask richness. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its smoky, fruity and spiced profile without losing balance.

Caol Ila 1979 Over 40y Artist #10 is the kind of Islay single malt where the appeal lies in the details: distilled in 1979, bottled in 2020 and matured for more than forty years. At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this stand out because they bring together age, origin and scarcity in a very tangible way.
Released by La Maison du Whisky as part of the Artist Edition, this whisky was drawn from a single hogshead. That single cask identity matters here: it is not a broad house-style vatting, but the voice of one individual cask after a long maturation. With only 156 bottles released, and with the last bottles now remaining, the limited nature of the bottling is central to its character.
Bottled at cask strength at 54.9%, it keeps close to its natural form. (…)Laphroaig 27y (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Director's Special) Incl. Box

Laphroaig 27y is a mature Islay single malt with a distinctly limited nature. Bottled by The Single Malts of Scotland as part of the Director's Special series, it shows a far older side of Laphroaig than most drinkers encounter regularly.
This release was matured in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 51.2%, with only 210 bottles produced. With the last bottles now in view, it occupies a special place at Drankenshop Broekmans for customers looking for an aged, small-release Islay whisky rather than a standard distillery bottling.
What makes it so engaging is the way the tasting notes move between tropical sweetness and dark smoke. Mango, banana, passion fruit and lime sit alongside coal smoke, dark chocolate, mint, tobacco and cherry jam. The result is a (…)Port Ellen 1978 35y 14th

Drawn from a single Oloroso Sherry cask and bottled at cask strength, it comes across as a whisky with focus and presence. At 57.5% alcohol, it has not been softened into a standard strength release, so the link between cask, maturation and distillery remains very direct. Black Bowmore 1995 25y Dlxop is a mature Islay single malt with a very clearly defined identity. It brings together Bowmore, Douglas Laing and the Extra Old Particular series in a release built around age, origin and limited availability.
Distilled on 1 May 1995, it spent 25 years maturing in a hogshead before being bottled at 46.9%. With only 302 bottles released, it has the feel of a whisky chosen for a specific moment rather than a standard expression.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are the kind we like to present with a little context: an older Scottish single malt from Islay, independently bottled by Douglas Laing, and marked as a collector's item. Talisker 43y Xped Oak is a bottle where age, origin and narrative all matter. At 43 years old and bottled at 49.7% cask strength, it is made for slow, attentive tasting rather than casual drinking.
The finishing story gives this whisky its distinctive place. It was finished in casks incorporating oak staves that travelled 3,264 miles across the Atlantic with adventurer James Aiken, connected to the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. For a distillery so closely associated with a maritime style, that detail gives the release a particularly meaningful link between journey, wood and whisky.

The whisky comes from Port Ellen's old stocks, with the distillery's original production having ended in 1983. The distillery sits near Port Askaig on Islay's north-eastern coast. Founded in 1881, with production beginning in 1883, Bunnahabhain takes its name from the mouth of the river, a reference to its setting by the Margadale River. The distillery also points to water from the Margadale Spring and its tall, pear-shaped stills with long swan necks as part of the identity behind a lighter, more delicate distillate.
