Lagavulin 8y
In stock
Lagavulin 8y is an Islay single malt that puts peat firmly at the centre of the glass. Its 8-year age statement gives it a direct, pronounced style, while the refill cask maturation keeps wood influence firmly in the background.
That leaves room for the smoky side of Lagavulin to speak clearly, supported by lighter touches of spice, fruit and coastal saltiness. At 48% alcohol, it has enough strength to carry that profile with confidence, without turning the whisky into a wood-led expression.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Lagavulin for drinkers who want the Islay character in a clear, peat-driven form: focused, smoky and stripped of unnecessary decoration.
The flavour profile is led by peat and smoke. Spice, fruit and saltiness (…)Octomore 14.2 Tube Incl.

Octomore 14.2 is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 57.7%. It is a whisky built around intensity: heavily peated, clearly maritime in tone, and presented without dilution.
Distilled in 2017 and aged for 5 years, it keeps a youthful, direct energy. The American Oak maturation frames the whisky, while the supplied profile points most strongly toward peat smoke and saltiness, with lighter traces of fruit and spice in support.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a forceful Islay single malt rather than a softened interpretation of the style. Octomore 14.2 is compact, powerful and unmistakably driven by peat and coastal character.

Very last one in stock!
Octomore 14.1 is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich with a very direct sense of power. Bottled at cask strength at 59.6%, it places peat firmly at the centre, supported by a clearly salty side that gives the whisky a strong island identity.
Distilled in 2017 and matured for 5 years in a bourbon barrel, this release is not presented as a wood-driven whisky. The available flavour profile gives oak little emphasis, so the focus stays on peat intensity, salinity and the energy of a young cask-strength single malt.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Octomore 14.1 as a whisky for drinkers who deliberately seek out the more forceful side of Islay: high strength, dominant peat and a compact maturation that keeps the message clear. With only the last bottles (…)Your benefit: € 28,35 / 15%

Caol Ila 18y is a Scottish single malt from Islay where peat and maturity meet in a restrained, grown-up way. The Islay identity is clearly part of the whisky, yet the 18 years of ageing give it a calmer and more developed presence than a purely forceful peated style.
Matured in oak cask and bottled at 43%, it sits in a classic strength range while keeping the focus on its island character. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Caol Ila we would point to when someone wants a peated Islay single malt with a little more age, supported by gentle fruit, light spice and a salty accent.
Its appeal lies in the way the smoke is clearly there without becoming the only thing to notice. The age gives the whisky room to breathe, making it a considered expression (…)Finlaggan Eilean Mor Incl. Box

Finlaggan Eilean Mor is a Scottish single malt from Islay, built around a clearly peated style. Bottled at 46%, it carries a little more weight than many lower-strength malts, while keeping the focus away from age statement detail and firmly on character.
The bourbon cask maturation frames a profile where peat is the main feature, supported by lighter notes of fruit, spice and salinity. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a straightforward Islay choice for drinkers who want smoke to be present and recognisable, with a few surrounding nuances rather than an overly technical presentation.
Its appeal lies in that direct combination: Islay single malt, bourbon cask influence, 46% alcohol and a peat-led personality.

Talisker Select Game Of Thrones House Of Greyjoy brings together Talisker single malt from Skye and the House of Greyjoy theme from Game of Thrones. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle that naturally starts a conversation: the presentation catches the eye, while the whisky itself stays rooted in a clearly smoky Talisker style.
Maturation in charred casks gives the whisky a firm setting for its peated character. The smoke is the main feature, supported by lighter salty, spicy and fruity touches that add detail without pulling the whisky away from its core.
At 45.8% alcohol, it carries a little extra presence in the glass. As these are the last bottles, this release also has a sense of scarcity, particularly for anyone specifically looking for (…)Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014

Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014 is a Scottish single malt from Islay with a clear sense of origin. The name brings together Islay Barley and the 2014 distillation year, giving the whisky a focused identity built around place, vintage and island character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Port Charlotte sits well among Islay whiskies for drinkers who appreciate peat as a defining element, while still leaving room for supporting fruit, spice and a salty edge.
Bottled at 50%, it has a firm presence in the glass. Rather than softening its Islay identity, it presents that character in a direct and confident way.

Port Charlotte 2009 #511 (Rest & Be Thankful)

Port Charlotte 2009 #511 is a Scottish single malt from Bruichladdich with a very defined identity: one bourbon barrel, one vintage and a total outturn of 223 bottles. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in July 2022, it spent 13 years developing as a single cask whisky rather than as part of a broader batch.
Its appeal lies in that directness. Bottled at 60.3% cask strength, it presents cask #511 in a concentrated form, with peat as the clearest element and lighter notes of fruit, spice and salinity around it. The bourbon barrel origin adds to the sense that this is a specific snapshot of one individual maturation.

Temporarily sold out
Expected: 28/10/2026Big Peat is the best-known release in Douglas Laing's Regional Malts range, created to show the classic character of Scotland's whisky regions through blended malts. Douglas Laing is a respected independent bottler, and this series adds a playful sense of humour to bottles that are very much made for tasting and discussing.
Here the focus is firmly on Islay. Big Peat is made from single malts sourced only from the island, including Ardbeg, Bowmore and even Port Ellen. It gives a bold interpretation of the traditional Islay profile: smoky, robust, slightly sweet and full of that restless coastal energy associated with peated island whisky.

The profile is clearly smoky, with a salty edge and lighter touches of spice and fruit sitting behind it. With no age statement given, the focus is very much on the direct Smokehead identity rather than on a stated maturation age.
Bottled by Ian Macleod under the Smokehead name, High Voltage feels deliberately bold: a single malt built around intensity, peat and a high-strength presentation.

It spends 10 years in old first-fill and second-fill American oak bourbon casks and is bottled at 46% without chill filtration, helping to preserve body and depth. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we point to when someone wants a clearly smoky Islay malt with real presence and a maritime edge.
