Finlaggan Eilean Mor Incl. Box

Only 3 left in stock!

Finlaggan Eilean Mor is a Scottish single malt from Islay, built around a clearly peated style. Bottled at 46%, it carries a little more weight than many lower-strength malts, while keeping the focus away from age statement detail and firmly on character.

The bourbon cask maturation frames a profile where peat is the main feature, supported by lighter notes of fruit, spice and salinity. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a straightforward Islay choice for drinkers who want smoke to be present and recognisable, with a few surrounding nuances rather than an overly technical presentation.

Its appeal lies in that direct combination: Islay single malt, bourbon cask influence, 46% alcohol and a peat-led personality.

The provided flavour profile (…)

Talisker Select Game Of Thrones House Of Greyjoy

On request only

Talisker Select Game Of Thrones House Of Greyjoy brings together Talisker single malt from Skye and the House of Greyjoy theme from Game of Thrones. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle that naturally starts a conversation: the presentation catches the eye, while the whisky itself stays rooted in a clearly smoky Talisker style.

Maturation in charred casks gives the whisky a firm setting for its peated character. The smoke is the main feature, supported by lighter salty, spicy and fruity touches that add detail without pulling the whisky away from its core.

At 45.8% alcohol, it carries a little extra presence in the glass. As these are the last bottles, this release also has a sense of scarcity, particularly for anyone specifically looking for (…)

Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014

In stock

Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014 is a Scottish single malt from Islay with a clear sense of origin. The name brings together Islay Barley and the 2014 distillation year, giving the whisky a focused identity built around place, vintage and island character.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Port Charlotte sits well among Islay whiskies for drinkers who appreciate peat as a defining element, while still leaving room for supporting fruit, spice and a salty edge.

Bottled at 50%, it has a firm presence in the glass. Rather than softening its Islay identity, it presents that character in a direct and confident way.

The flavour profile is led by a clear peated character. Around that, lighter impressions of fruit, spice and salt add shape without moving (…)

Port Charlotte 2009 #511 (Rest & Be Thankful)

On request only

Port Charlotte 2009 #511 is a Scottish single malt from Bruichladdich with a very defined identity: one bourbon barrel, one vintage and a total outturn of 223 bottles. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in July 2022, it spent 13 years developing as a single cask whisky rather than as part of a broader batch.

Its appeal lies in that directness. Bottled at 60.3% cask strength, it presents cask #511 in a concentrated form, with peat as the clearest element and lighter notes of fruit, spice and salinity around it. The bourbon barrel origin adds to the sense that this is a specific snapshot of one individual maturation.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for their precision and limited nature. With the last bottles now available, this Port (…)

Big Peat (Douglas Laing) Tube Incl.

Temporarily sold out
Expected: 28/10/2026

Big Peat is the best-known release in Douglas Laing's Regional Malts range, created to show the classic character of Scotland's whisky regions through blended malts. Douglas Laing is a respected independent bottler, and this series adds a playful sense of humour to bottles that are very much made for tasting and discussing.

Here the focus is firmly on Islay. Big Peat is made from single malts sourced only from the island, including Ardbeg, Bowmore and even Port Ellen. It gives a bold interpretation of the traditional Islay profile: smoky, robust, slightly sweet and full of that restless coastal energy associated with peated island whisky.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we often reach for when someone wants to understand Islay without (…)

Smokehead High Voltage (Ian Macleod) Incl. Box

In stock

Smokehead High Voltage is an Islay single malt with no intention of sounding restrained. Bottled at 58% and presented at cask strength, it puts power and peat smoke firmly at the centre of the glass.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would point out to someone looking for a more forceful Islay style. The profile is clearly smoky, with a salty edge and lighter touches of spice and fruit sitting behind it. With no age statement given, the focus is very much on the direct Smokehead identity rather than on a stated maturation age.

Bottled by Ian Macleod under the Smokehead name, High Voltage feels deliberately bold: a single malt built around intensity, peat and a high-strength presentation.

The flavour is forceful and (…)

Bunnahabhain Moine Tube Incl.

In stock

Bunnahabhain Moine shows a peatier side of Islay single malt while keeping the focus firmly on the whisky's style rather than on an age statement. In this expression, the peat comes forward clearly, with little emphasis on oak or floral delicacy.

At 46.3% alcohol, it has enough strength to carry its character with confidence. The profile is built around a pronounced peated core, supported by lighter fruity, spicy and salty touches. That gives it an unmistakably Islay feel, without reducing the whisky to peat alone.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Bunnahabhain Moine as a fitting choice for those who want to explore the distillery through a more distinctly island-driven lens. It is a no age statement single malt where the emphasis sits on flavour direction: (…)

Black Grouse Alpha Edition

Not available for shipping

Black Grouse Alpha Edition is a Scottish blended whisky from the Famous Grouse family, shaped around a more pronounced smoky side than the name might first suggest. Rather than leaning on an age statement, it presents a clear style: a 40% blend where peat plays a noticeable role, while still leaving room for lighter supporting flavours.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would place in front of someone looking for a approachable route into smokier Scotch blends without moving too far away from a familiar blended whisky character. Gentle spice, a touch of fruit and a slightly salty edge sit around the peat and give the whisky extra definition.

With only the last bottles remaining, this Alpha Edition has become a more limited presence on (…)

Laphroaig The Cask Legacy Incl. Box

In stock

Laphroaig The 1815 Edition is an Islay single malt with a clear sense of place. Its profile puts peat at the centre, supported by a light salty edge that fits naturally with its island origin.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this edition sits among the Scottish whiskies chosen for drinkers who appreciate a recognisably peated style. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 48%, so the focus is on the character of the release rather than on a declared maturation age.

The flavour direction is distinctly peated, with gentle touches of spice, fruit and salinity around it. That gives The 1815 Edition a direct Laphroaig identity, without needing to rely on extra storytelling beyond what the whisky itself communicates.

Yula 21 Years (Douglas Laing Regional Malts)

On request only

Yula 21 Years is a Scottish blended malt with real presence: 21 years old, bottled at cask strength and released by Douglas Laing as part of the Regional Malts range. At 52.3%, it keeps a firm natural strength, giving the whisky a direct and expressive feel.

Only 900 bottles were released, and at Drankenshop Broekmans we tend to regard bottles like this as the kind of whisky that deserves a closer look while it is still around. The character is led by peat, with lighter salty, spicy and fruity elements supporting the smoky core rather than taking attention away from it.

For drinkers who enjoy peated Scotch but want something with age behind it, Yula 21 Years has a clear point of difference. It is not built around softness or sweetness; its appeal lies in (…)

Reserve Islay Bl Malt (Berry Bros - Berry's Own Selection)

In stock

Reserve Islay Bl Malt is a Scottish blended malt from Islay, bottled by Berry Bros as part of Berry's own selection. Its identity is built around place and style: an Islay malt expression with a clear peated profile, presented through a blended malt rather than a single distillery release.

Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its character without pushing the whisky into an overly forceful register. There is no age statement, so the attention falls on the selection itself: peat at the centre, with lighter touches of spice, fruit and salinity shaping the surrounding profile.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in front of customers who enjoy Islay whisky but also appreciate the perspective of an independent bottler. With (…)

Caol Ila 2010 (Berry Bros)

On request only

Caol Ila 2010 is a single malt from Islay with peat clearly at the heart of its identity. Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023, it comes at cask strength, 56.4%, giving a direct impression of the whisky as it stood in the cask.

This is a single cask bottling from a hogshead, so the interest lies in its individuality. Rather than a broad house-style expression, it shows one particular cask's take on Caol Ila, with peat in the foreground and lighter salty, spicy and fruity accents around it.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that speaks to drinkers who enjoy the more specific side of Islay whisky. With only the last bottles remaining, it also carries the quiet appeal of a release that will not stay around indefinitely.

Port Charlotte Pc12

The release is limited to 12,000 bottles, giving it a defined place within the Port Charlotte range rather than the feel of a standard everyday bottling. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky built around a clearly peated Islay style, with lighter salty, spicy and fruity accents supporting the main theme.

There is no need to overcomplicate the story here. Port Charlotte PC12 is about concentration, peat and a strong single malt identity, presented with the natural power of cask strength.

Islay Mist Double Peated

In stock

Islay Mist Double Peated is a Scottish blended whisky built around a clear Islay identity. The name sets the tone immediately: peat is not a quiet detail here, but the central feature of the whisky's style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a straightforward introduction to a more pronounced peated side of blended Scotch. Bottled at 40%, it stays within a familiar drinking strength, while the stated flavour profile points to definite peat supported by lighter notes of spice, fruit and a salty edge.

With no age statement given, the focus rests less on years of maturation and more on the whisky's direct personality: Scottish, Islay-led and clearly smoky in character. Additional information can be found at https://www.islaymist.com/

Smokehead Extra Rare 1l (Ian Macleod)

On request only

Smokehead Extra Rare 1l is a Scottish single malt from Islay, shaped above all by a clearly peated style. Rather than being built around an age statement, it puts the emphasis on Smokehead's direct personality: smoky, expressive and supported by light touches of spice, fruit and salinity.

Oak cask maturation provides the framework, but the available profile points more strongly towards peat than wood influence. That gives this whisky a focused Islay identity, with enough secondary notes to keep the smoke from feeling one-dimensional.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this sit comfortably among whiskies chosen for drinkers who actively enjoy a smoky single malt. The one-litre bottle gives it a generous format, and with the last bottles indicated, it is (…)

Caol Ila Moch

In stock

Caol Ila Moch is a Scottish single malt from Islay, shaped first and foremost by a clear peated character. Rather than presenting itself as a heavily wood-driven whisky, it puts the emphasis on smoke, with lighter salty, spicy and fruity accents around it.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Caol Ila for those moments when the Islay identity should be easy to recognise without becoming one-dimensional. The oak cask background does not take the lead in the profile; the maritime, smoky side of the malt remains the central feature.

Bottled at 43%, Caol Ila Moch stays within a classic drinking strength. Its appeal lies in the way peat, a saline edge and subtle fruit and spice come together in a direct Islay single malt style.

Big Peat Mini (Douglas Laing)

Big Peat Mini brings the Islay side of Scotch whisky into a smaller format: a blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled under the Big Peat name. The profile is clearly peat-led, with lighter touches of spice, fruit and salt around it.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this mini bottle is a practical way to get acquainted with Big Peat without immediately choosing a full-size bottle. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 46%, so the emphasis sits firmly on the house style of this Islay blended malt rather than on a specific age.

Ledaig 10y Incl. Box

Ledaig 10y is a Scotch single malt from Mull with peat clearly at the centre of its personality. Matured in oak casks and bottled at 46.3%, it has the straightforward presence of a whisky that does not need heavy sweetness or overt wood influence to make its point.

The most engaging part of this Ledaig is the way its smoky side is supported by a light salty edge. That gives the whisky a distinctly island-like feel, while gentle fruit and spice sit in the background to add detail rather than softness. It is a direct, characterful style, built around peat and freshness.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a single malt for drinkers who appreciate Scottish island whisky with a clear smoky profile and a dry, coastal accent. It is not a whisky that hides its (…)

Akkeshi Ritto Peated

On request only

Akkeshi Ritto Peated is a Japanese single malt with peat placed clearly at the centre of its identity. There is no age statement here, so the focus shifts to style, strength and cask influence rather than years in wood.

The use of Mizunara oak gives this peated whisky an additional point of interest. Its profile shows peat as the main feature, supported by lighter impressions of wood, spice, fruit and saltiness. That makes it more than a straightforward smoky whisky; the peat is framed by other elements rather than standing alone.

At 55% alcohol, Ritto Peated has a firm presence. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who want to explore Japanese single malt from a more powerful, smoky angle. With the last bottles now indicated, it is (…)

Old Ballantruan 15y Tube Incl.

Old Ballantruan 15y shows Speyside from a distinctly smoky angle. The peat is clearly present, yet the 15 years of maturation give it enough depth and softness to feel integrated rather than blunt.

It has been matured exclusively in American oak bourbon casks, a choice that supports its sweet touch and warm spice while keeping the smoky core in focus. Bottled at 50% ABV and non chill filtered, it keeps a full and natural feel in the glass.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of single malt we like to introduce when someone wants Speyside with more smoke, weight and warmth. Old Ballantruan 15y brings together richness, gentle sweetness and a long smoky finish in a confident but elegant style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we place in conversation with customers who enjoy peat and spice, but also appreciate a release with a slightly different angle. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its character clearly without being positioned as a cask strength whisky.

Highland Park Dragon Legends Incl. Box

Highland Park Dragon Legends is a single malt from Orkney with a name that immediately gives it a sense of atmosphere. As a no age statement whisky, it is less about a number on the label and more about a particular style: a Scottish island malt where peat is clearly part of the experience, supported by lighter fruity and spicy notes.

The use of sherry and bourbon casks gives this Highland Park a layered foundation without taking the focus away from its smoky side. The peat stands out, yet the whisky is not built on smoke alone. Fruit and spice sit in a supporting role, adding shape to the overall profile.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Dragon Legends fits naturally among Highland Park releases for drinkers who want an Orkney single malt with a distinct peated (…)
