Clos de l'Oratoire 2019 is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Emilion, from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation and classified as Grand Cru Classé. The 2019 vintage is built around 81% Merlot with 19% Cabernet Franc, giving the wine a generous Merlot core while retaining the aromatic lift, structure and length associated here with Cabernet Franc.
The estate sits on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Emilion, with clay-limestone, molasse de Fronsac and clay-sand soils across its vineyards. For this vintage, the wine spent 30 days in cuvaison with extraction by pneumatic pigeage, followed by 16 months on fine lees in barriques, 50% of them new oak. It was bottled at the château in May 2021 without fining.

Clos de l'Oratoire 2019 Magnum presents Saint-Émilion in a format with real table presence. The 1.5-litre bottle contains the same cuvée as the standard release, but the magnum format gives it a broader sense of occasion, whether opened with a meal or kept for further development.
This red Bordeaux comes from AOC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru and is classified as Grand Cru Classé. The 2019 blend is built around 81% Merlot and 19% Cabernet Franc. Merlot gives the wine its roundness and volume, while Cabernet Franc adds aromatic complexity, structure and length. The vineyard lies on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Émilion, with sandy topsoil, clay subsoil and further clay-limestone and clay-sand components across the estate.

Clos De L'Oratoire 2020 is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé from France, grown on an estate of around 13 hectares on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Émilion. The blend is firmly Merlot-led, with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, giving the wine its mix of ripe generosity, aromatic lift and structural poise.
For the 2020 vintage, the vineyard is certified organic under FR-BIO-10. The grapes were hand-harvested in small crates between 22 and 25 September, carefully sorted before and after destemming, and handled without crushing. Fermentation took place in wooden vats, followed by 16 months on fine lees in barriques, 40% of them new.

Clos De L'Oratoire 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Clos de l'Oratoire 2020 in magnum is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé with the kind of presence that suits a serious Bordeaux dinner. The 1.5 litre format does not change the wine's identity, but it does make the bottle feel made for sharing. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this firmly among the red Bordeaux wines for customers who appreciate ripe Merlot depth, structure and cellar potential.
The 2020 blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Its vineyard sits on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Émilion, with clay-limestone and molasse de Fronsac higher up the slope and more clay-sand towards the foot. That background helps explain the shape of the wine: generous dark fruit from Merlot, with Cabernet Franc adding aromatic detail, structure (…)Clos De L'Oratoire 2021

Clos de l'Oratoire 2021 takes us to Saint-Emilion, to a Right Bank Grand Cru Classé built mainly around merlot, with cabernet franc adding its part to the blend. The vineyard sits on the north-eastern slope of Saint-Emilion, where clay-limestone, molasse de Fronsac and clay-sandy soils shape the wine's identity. The result is firmly Bordeaux in feel: red, dry, precise, with fruit, freshness and fine tannins at the centre.
The 2021 vintage is organically certified. The grapes were harvested in early October, then vinified in wooden vats with pneumatic pigeage and a long maceration. Ageing took place for 15 months on fine lees in barriques, including a proportion of new oak. These details matter because they support the style of the wine rather than dominate it: this (…)Clos De L'Oratoire 2021 Magnum (1,5l)
