Château Marjosse Rouge 2021 in magnum is a Bordeaux that speaks more through freshness and precision than sheer weight. It comes from Pierre Lurton's personal estate in Tizac-de-Curton, in the Entre-deux-Mers area on Bordeaux's right bank. The blend follows the classic red Bordeaux pattern, led by merlot and supported by cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and a small proportion of malbec.The 2021 vintage in Bordeaux was cooler and later than warmer years, and that shows in the wine's more classical line. The emphasis is on bright fruit, definition and the expression of the individual grape varieties. Château Marjosse works parcel by parcel, with grapes from clay-limestone soils and vines described for this vintage as roughly 26 to 75 years old. Ageing takes place without new oak, partly in 400-litre barrels and partly in temperature-controlled concrete vats on fine lees, keeping the oak influence discreet.

Chateau Marjosse is a French winery located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region in Bordeaux, an area known for its diverse terroirs and for producing both red and white wines. The history of the estate dates back to the 18th century, with a manor house that has been expanded and renovated several times over the years. Since 1997, Chateau Marjosse has been owned by Pierre Lurton, a well-known name in the Bordeaux wine world and also director of Chateau d'Yquem and Chateau Cheval Blanc.
