Hampden 8 Marks 8*20cl

In stock

Hampden 8 Marks 8*20cl is best seen as a discovery set rather than a single-bottle rum. It brings together eight different marks from Hampden Estate in Jamaica, each in a 20 cl format, giving the drinker a way to explore several sides of the same estate in one giftpack.

The foundation is firmly set: molasses rum, pot still distillation and bottling at 60%. That strength underlines its cask strength presentation and gives the set a direct, uncompromising feel. There is no age statement driving the story here; the focus is on comparison, intensity and the differences between the marks.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Hampden set sits comfortably among rums chosen for people who like to taste with attention, share a structured tasting, or give a rum gift with (…)

Planteray Hogo Monsta 20cl (Planteray Special)

Not available for shipping

Planteray Hogo Monsta 20cl is a Barbados rum built around aromatic impact. Made from molasses, fermented for two weeks and fully distilled in a pot still at Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery, it puts the focus firmly on concentration and expression.

The key detail here is its very high ester content: 2029 g/hL AA. That is what gives meaning to the name Hogo Monsta, a direct nod to the intense, funky hogo style that defines this release.

Bottled at 56.6% ABV as a cask strength rum, it has a forceful presence without needing to lean on sweetness or wood-driven notes. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a rum with real pot still intensity and a bold aromatic signature.

A1710 Laperle Rare Roseau

In stock

A1710 La Perle Rare Roseau is a Martinique rum made from sugar cane juice, with the spotlight placed firmly on one specific cane variety: B59-92, known as Roseau. The cuvée comes from A1710's second organic planting in François, where this cane produces notably aromatic juice.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum that speaks through its raw material rather than through oak influence. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 54.1%, giving the fresh cane character plenty of presence. Traditional column distillation keeps the style clear, aromatic and expressive, with floral, vegetal, fruity and gently spiced accents.

La Perle Rare Roseau is therefore a fine choice when you want to taste the cane itself: direct, fragrant and rooted (…)

El Salvador 2008 12y (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

Very last one in stock!

El Salvador 2008 12y from 1423 Rum World Class is the kind of rum where the appeal lies in precision: one vintage, one cask, one clearly defined release. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in February 2020, it spent twelve years maturing before being bottled at a firm 55% cask strength.

Drawn from a single Bourbon Barrel, this molasses rum gives a focused view of one individual cask rather than the broader impression of a larger blend. The multicolumn distillation points to a clean style, while the available flavour profile leans most clearly towards spice and vegetal notes, with lighter fruity and floral elements in support.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for rum drinkers who appreciate limited, sharply defined releases. With 318 bottles (…)

Bally Blanc is a white rum from J. Bally, made in Martinique from sugar cane juice. That detail says a great deal about its identity: rather than leaning on molasses richness or wood influence, it puts the raw material much closer to the centre of the glass.

Distilled in a traditional column and bottled at 50%, it has a clear, assertive presence. Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would point out to someone who wants a more direct cane-juice style, with no emphasis on oak or sweet maturation notes.

Renegade Pearls Pot

Renegade Pearls Pot is a Grenadian rum made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still. That already says quite a lot about its place in the rum world: this is not a wood-led or sweet-driven style, but a rum built around the direct character of the distillate.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that speaks to curious rum drinkers looking beyond the more familiar aged profiles. El Amparo

In stock

El Amparo is an Ecuadorian rum made from sugar cane juice, built around the Cubana Negra cane variety. The cane is grown and harvested according to traditional practices carried through three generations, giving this rum a strong sense of agricultural origin rather than a polished, anonymous style.

Fermentation begins naturally with indigenous yeasts in vats of 1000 to 3000 litres and lasts 5 to 7 days, depending on the sugar concentration of the must at harvest. Distillation takes place in a single run through a 500-litre copper pot still. The spirit leaves the still at around 60%, and this first batch of El Amparo was bottled at that still strength.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum with real immediacy. It is not driven by sweetness or wood, (…)

A1710 La Perle Brute

In stock

A1710 La Perle Brute is a Martinique rum made from sugar cane juice, pot still distilled and bottled at a bold 66%. The strength is part of its personality, but the real focus here is the cane itself.

For this cuvée, A1710 selected the plantation of Mr Paul Octave, where old sugar cane varieties are cultivated. That choice places the culture of sugar cane in Martinique at the centre of the bottle. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we value for the way it connects origin, raw material and distillation without needing a complicated story around it.

Its style is aromatic, with a clear spicy and floral side, while the sugar cane remains firmly present. La Perle Brute feels direct and expressive: a powerful Martinique rum built around cane (…)

Hampden 8 Marks 1 Year 8*20cl (La Maison & Velier)

Only 2 left in stock!

Hampden Estate 8 Marks 1 Year is built as a tasting collection rather than a single standard rum. The set contains eight 20 cl bottles, each showing the effect of one year of bourbon barrel maturation on a different mark from the distillery. That makes the collection especially engaging as a side-by-side exploration: one Jamaican origin, one maturation period, eight distinct expressions.

Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, this Jamaican rum is bottled at 52% and at cask strength. The tropical climate of Jamaica gives the one-year maturation real presence, while the bourbon barrels add their own influence to a profile shaped by fruity, spiced and vegetal tones.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a set for curious drinkers who enjoy comparing (…)

The sugar cane is grown on A1710's plot at Habitation du Simon. Rather than leaning on wood influence, this cuvée is about the character of one variety from one place.
