Royal Brackla 2007 13y Artist is a Highland single malt with a clear independent-bottling identity. Distilled in 2007, matured for 13 years and bottled by Signatory as part of the Artist Edition, it sits in that interesting space where distillery character, cask choice and bottler selection all matter.
The sherry butt maturation gives the release its structure, while the supplied profile points more towards spice than overt fruitiness. There is a light touch of wood and a gentle floral side in support, with peat absent from the picture.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are appreciated for their specificity: not just a Highland malt, but a particular Royal Brackla shaped by one bottler's selection and presented at 48%. With only the last bottles (…)Craigellachie 2009 13y 53,9° Tb (Thompson Brothers)

Craigellachie 2009 13y 53,9° Tb (Thompson Brothers)

Craigellachie 2009 13y 53.9° Tb is a Speyside single malt with a very defined identity: one distillation date, one cask and a limited outturn. It was distilled on 18 May 2009 and bottled on 1 October 2022 after 13 years in a refill hogshead.
What makes it engaging is the focus on a single cask rather than a broadly composed house expression. Bottled at cask strength and drawn from an outturn of 628 bottles, it presents this particular maturation in a direct, unblended way. With only the last bottles remaining, its limited nature is now very tangible.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Craigellachie sits comfortably among whiskies for drinkers who enjoy the detail of individual cask selection. The flavour direction is led by spice, with lighter floral, fruity (…)Craigellachie 2006 15y The Midnight Series (Douglas Laing Old Particular) Tube Incl.

Craigellachie 2006 15 Year Old The Midnight Series is a Speyside single malt with a very focused identity: one distillation, one sherry butt, one limited outturn. Douglas Laing bottled it for the Old Particular range as part of The Midnight Series, after 15 years of maturation and at a natural strength of 57.9%.
That cask strength gives the whisky real presence, while the sherry butt points the character towards darker fruit, spice and warm sweeter tones. Rather than presenting Craigellachie in a broad, general way, this bottling captures the development of one individual cask.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are appreciated for that sense of detail. With 625 bottles produced and only the last bottles remaining, this Craigellachie has the quiet (…)Edradour 2013 11y (Signatory Ibisco Decanter) Tube Incl.

Edradour 2013 11y is a Highland single malt with a notably direct presentation. Distilled on 7 September 2013, it spent 11 years in a bourbon cask before being bottled by Signatory as part of the Ibisco Decanter series.
Its appeal lies in the way it keeps close to the cask. Bottled at cask strength, at 60%, this is not a softened or heavily adjusted release. With 1997 bottles produced, and with the last bottles now in stock, it has a naturally limited feel within the Drankenshop Broekmans selection.
The flavour profile points towards clear spice, with lighter fruit, floral and woody accents in support. Peat and salinity are not part of the picture here, so the focus remains on the strength of the malt, the cask influence and the spiced line running through (…)Dailuaine 2009 13y (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Whisky Trail)

Dailuaine 2009 13y is a Speyside single malt bottled by The Single Malts of Scotland as part of the Whisky Trail series. Drawn from a single hogshead and limited to just 100 bottles, it captures one specific cask after 13 years of maturation rather than presenting a broad house style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottling we value for its clear sense of origin and limited scale. Bottled at 52.9%, it has plenty of strength, yet the character described here leans toward chocolate, nuts, fruit and gentle spice rather than peat or coastal notes.
With the last bottles now in view, the appeal lies in its specificity: one distillery, one cask, one small release. For drinkers exploring Speyside through independent bottlings, this Dailuaine offers a (…)Dailuaine 2010 12y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

Dailuaine 2010 12y Tb is a Speyside single malt drawn from a single cask, giving it the focused feel that makes these small releases so appealing. Only 266 bottles were filled, and it was bottled at cask strength at 50%. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we like to present as a specific snapshot of a distillery and a cask, rather than as a broad house style.

The sherry finish gives this whisky an important point of focus. The flavour profile places spice at the centre, supported more gently by fruit, floral notes and wood. Peat does not drive the style here, so the whisky reads more as a sherry-finished, spice-led Jura bottled at a confident 46%.

The supplied information presents Macduff as a distillery known for delicate, harmonious flavours, reflecting its scenic coastal setting. In this bottling that comes across as a refined Highland style, with spice taking the lead and lighter fruit and floral notes adding detail around it.

Timorous Beast The Cheese Cellar Collection Madeira Finish is a Highland blended malt from Douglas Laing, released as part of the Regional Malts range. That series is built around the character of Scotland's whisky regions, presented through blended malts with a recognisable sense of fun and personality.
For this limited edition, the focus is firmly on flavour pairing with cheese. Douglas Laing searched for casks that could give Timorous Beastie an extra layer for that purpose and found Madeira wine casks from the Portuguese island of Madeira.
