Mars Tsunuki Peated shows the smoky side of Japanese single malt in a very direct way. The name already sets the tone: this is a peated Tsunuki, bottled at 50%, giving the whisky enough strength and presence without presenting it as a cask strength release.
The bourbon barrel maturation and multivintage composition add useful context. With 14,830 bottles produced, this is a clearly defined release, and the combination of collector's item status and last bottles gives it a particular relevance within the Drankenshop Broekmans selection for drinkers who follow more distinctive Japanese single malts.
