Starward Stout Cask Incl. Box
In stock
Starward Stout Cask comes from the Starward Projects programme, where the distillers are given room to explore different casks and flavour directions. This release has a very Melbourne feel to it: whisky and craft beer meet through barrels from Brick Lane's sought-after 'Trilogy of Fear' imperial stout series.
The whisky starts as an assembly of Starward's red wine and Apera matured whiskies, Apera being the Australian alternative to sherry. It then spends a further 18 months in those special stout barrels. That extra maturation brings the familiar Starward notes of tropical fruit and vanilla into contact with a darker, malt-driven side, shaped by chocolate malt and roasted stout character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly engaging (…)Starward Dolce 50cl

Starward Dolce 50cl

Starward Dolce 50cl brings an Australian angle to single malt whisky, shaped around a wine finish rather than an age statement. The focus here is on style: a whisky where the cask influence and a clearly spiced profile are the main points of interest.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for its Australian origin, its 50cl format and its 48% strength, giving it a little more presence than many lighter-drinking whiskies. The flavour profile points towards spice first, supported by gentler fruity, floral and woody notes.
With only the last bottles remaining, Dolce has become one of those Starward releases that draws attention from customers looking beyond the classic whisky regions. It is a good bottle to consider when the appeal lies in (…)Oxford Artis 2019 #21 (Berry Bros)

Oxford Artis 2019 #21 is an English rye whisky with a story that begins well before the cask. It belongs to Berry Bros. & Rudd's Collective#1 series, a range built around independent makers who challenge convention and place real emphasis on reducing their impact on the planet's natural resources.
The whisky comes from The Oxford Artisan Distillery, described here through its work with regenerative agriculture. The supplied information highlights John Letts, head of the farm, and his work with heritage grain varieties that can adapt to different climates. That gives this rye a strong sense of origin: the grain is not just an ingredient, it is central to the identity of the whisky.
Cask #21 was filled in 2019 and bottled in 2023. It is a single cask (…)Westland Solum 1st Edition

Westland Solum 1st Edition is an American single malt with a clear point of interest from the start: it is presented as a first edition. Bottled at 50% and matured in American oak, it sits in a style where structure and spice matter more than overt smoke or coastal notes.
The flavour profile points towards a whisky led by spice, with lighter touches of fruit, floral nuance and wood around it. That gives the bottle a focused identity without turning it into a heavy oak-driven dram.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we appreciate releases like this because they show a different side of single malt whisky while still remaining easy to understand in terms of character. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this giftpack fits neatly for anyone looking for an American Tennessee whiskey with a presentable, practical touch. The included glass makes it easy to give as a gift, while still keeping the whiskey itself at the centre of attention.

Stalk & Barrel Single Malt Cask Strength shows Canadian single malt in a notably powerful form. Bottled at 60.2% and presented at cask strength, it does not lean on an age statement; the focus is on the whisky's strength, its bourbon cask background and the directness of the style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone wanting to explore Canadian whisky beyond the more familiar gentle expressions. The bourbon cask gives it a measured wood influence, while the supplied flavour profile places spice clearly at the centre, supported by lighter fruity and floral notes.

Pradlo 17y Velvet Revolution is a Czech single malt with a character that immediately places it outside the most familiar whisky routes. Distilled in 2002 and matured for 17 years, it gains an extra layer of interest from its Oloroso finish, giving this limited release a clear identity of its own.
Only 1100 bottles were produced, and with the last bottles now available, this feels more like a finite chapter than a standard ongoing whisky. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we enjoy presenting to customers who like single malt but are curious about less obvious whisky origins.

Aberfeldy 15y Cadillac is a Highland single malt built around a gentle meeting of Aberfeldy's honeyed house style and a sweet white wine cask finish. The whisky first matures in refill barrels and refill hogsheads, then spends six months in ex-Cadillac casks from South Bordeaux, linked here to Sémillon-based sweet white wine.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, the interest lies in how this release shows a different side of wine cask finishing. Rather than leaning into a red wine influence, it brings out yellow fruit, floral notes and citrus while keeping the soft, rounded Aberfeldy character intact.
At 15 years old and bottled at 43%, it remains composed and approachable in strength, yet the Cadillac white wine cask finish gives it a clear identity of its own. (…)Scapegrace Fortuna VI Incl. Box

Yellow Rose Rye is an American rye whiskey with a clear Texas connection. Yellow Rose Distilling is based in Houston and presents itself as the city's first legal whiskey distillery. This small-batch rye is selected, blended and bottled by hand in Texas, with rye firmly at the centre of the style.
Its mash bill is built around 95% rye, supported by 5% barley or malted barley. That gives it a recognisable rye foundation, yet the tasting notes describe it as less pepper-driven than many other rye whiskeys. Recharred American oak is central to its make-up. Rather than moving the whisky into a different cask for an additional finish, Arbikie allowed the fresh, active oak influence to shape the spirit directly, adding colour, depth and spice around the grain-driven core. According to Arbikie, this combination had not been made in Scotland before, giving Batch 2022 a noteworthy place among contemporary Scotch whisky releases.

That gives this release a particular resonance. It connects Lindores Abbey, the early story of Scotch whisky and the distillery's present-day craft in one bottle.
