Saburomaro Sab Sunste Red Incl. Box
In stock
Saburomaro Sab Sunste Red gives a clear impression of what makes Saburomaru distinctive: Japanese whisky with peat running through it, yet without letting smoke take over the whole glass. The distillery was founded in 1952 in Toyama Prefecture, set between the Japanese Alps and the Sea of Japan, and has built its identity around peated whisky, a style described here as rare in Japan.
The blend brings together Japanese malt and British grain, shaping an approachable whisky with a fruity, gently smoky personality. Its sunny character is part of the appeal: the peat is present, but polished and well woven into the drink rather than forceful. It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle (…)Paul John Bold Tube Incl.

Paul John Bold Tube Incl.

Paul John Bold shows the peated side of Indian single malt, while keeping a clear thread of sweetness and fruit. The name suits the whisky well: it has a confident smoky presence, yet the style remains rounded, spicy and expressive rather than one-dimensional.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, what makes this bottling stand out is its honest presentation at 46%, without colouring and without chill filtration. That helps preserve a direct, natural feel, with the peat woven into the whisky instead of sitting apart from it.
Maturation in bourbon barrels supports the whisky without making oak the main subject. The character moves toward a surprising coastal and medicinal impression, with stewed apple, tobacco and liquorice adding depth. It is a single malt for drinkers (…)Islay Mist 21y

Islay Mist 21y
On request only
Islay Mist 21y is a Scottish blended whisky built around age, restraint and subtle detail. At 21 years old, it sits in a more mature part of the blend category, the kind of whisky that invites a slower approach rather than a quick first impression.
Its profile is not described as heavily wood-led. Instead, the character is shaped by light touches of fruit, floral notes, gentle spice, a saline edge and a measured hint of peat smoke. Nothing is pushed too far, giving the whisky a calm and understated feel.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the sort of bottle that draws attention from customers looking for an older Scotch blend with a soft smoky accent. With only the last bottles remaining, this 21-year-old Islay Mist also carries a quiet sense of scarcity.

Bunnahbhain Feis Abhainn

Bunnahbhain Feis Abhainn is an Islay single malt with a more direct, full-strength presentation. Bottled at 50.8% and released at cask strength, it is not shaped around softness, but around a closer connection to the whisky as it comes from the cask.
With no age statement given, the focus shifts to character rather than maturation years. The supplied flavour profile points to a clearly fruity centre, supported by gentle spice, a salty edge and a light peated note. It carries an Islay identity, but the peat remains part of the composition rather than the whole message.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in front of customers looking for a single malt with intensity and a little scarcity around it. The indication that these are the (…)Kilchoman 100% Islay 4th Edition Incl. Box

Kilchoman 100% Islay 4th Edition Incl. Box

Kilchoman 100% Islay 4th Edition is built around a very clear idea: every stage takes place at the distillery itself, from growing the barley through to bottling. For an Islay single malt, that gives the whisky a particularly direct sense of origin and identity.
Bottled at 50%, this 4th Edition matured in bourbon barrels. Its interest does not come from an age statement, but from the way it is made and the way it expresses its place. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see it as one of those bottles that is worth explaining properly: an Islay malt with freshness, citrus brightness and a gentle peat presence.
With 12,000 bottles released, this is a defined edition rather than an ongoing standard bottling, and these are now the last bottles. Its popularity is easy to (…)Douglas Laing Double Barrel Scotland India

Douglas Laing Double Barrel Scotland India

Douglas Laing Double Barrel Scotland India is a Blended Malt built around a striking meeting of origins: an Indian Single Malt joined with a Scottish Single Malt from the Highlands. Rather than leaning on an age statement, it focuses on the contrast and connection between two whisky cultures in one bottle.
The label gives that idea a visual form. A Bengal tiger, India's national animal, appears alongside the unicorn, the national animal of Scotland. It is a fitting image for a whisky where smoky malt, citrus brightness and spice come together without losing the sense of either side of the blend.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to introduce to customers who enjoy whisky with a clear concept behind it. Bottled at 50%, with no added (…)Six Isles Voyager

Six Isles Voyager

Six Isles Voyager brings together single malts from the six principal Scottish islands. As a blended malt, it gives a broad impression of island whisky rather than focusing on the voice of one distillery or one specific island.
The character is clearly maritime: gentle salinity, delicate smoke, fruit and spice come together in a style that points straight to Scotland's island malts. Bottled at 46%, it has enough presence to carry those flavours while remaining rounded in its overall feel.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to introduce when someone is looking for Scottish whisky with sea air, light peat and fruity warmth, without moving into a very heavy or intensely smoky style.
The aroma is fresh and maritime, with (…)Akkeshi Kanro

Akkeshi Kanro is a Japanese single malt with a clear sense of presence. Bottled at 55%, it sits on the more powerful side of the spectrum, giving the whisky a firm and serious character without needing an overload of technical detail.
The release is limited to 15,000 bottles, and the available stock is now down to the last bottles. As it is also marked as a collector's item, Kanro has a distinctive place in the Japanese whisky selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, especially for customers who follow these limited releases with attention.
Its flavour profile points toward spice and fruit as the central elements, supported by lighter floral, salty and peated touches. Wood is not the main driver here, so the interest lies more in the interplay between fruit, spice (…)Ardmore 1997 22y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Ardmore 1997 22y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)
On request only
Ardmore 1997 22y is a Highland single malt with a very focused story: one distillation vintage, one hogshead, one independent bottling by The Nectar for the Daily Dram range. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in April 2019, it spent 22 years maturing before being released at its natural cask strength of 48.7%.
As a single cask release, this is not about a broad house-style blend of many parcels. It is a particular cask captured at one point in time. With only 180 bottles produced, and now down to the last bottles, that sense of scarcity is part of its appeal.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like bottlings like this because they give whisky drinkers a direct view of an individual mature malt. The profile is led by fruit, supported by gentle spice, a salty edge and a (…)Islay Mist 10y

Islay Mist 10y is a 10-year-old blended Scotch whisky with a character that stays measured rather than forceful. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits comfortably among whiskies for customers who enjoy a Scotch blend with a touch of coastal and smoky personality, but without a heavy wood-driven style.
The name Islay Mist already suggests part of its identity. The profile shows light peated and salty accents, with gentle fruit, floral and spice notes in support. Oak is not the main feature here, so the whisky leans more toward a clean, lightly smoky and approachable blend character.
Bottled at 40%, it keeps an easygoing structure while the 10-year age statement gives it more definition than a basic young blend. Its appeal lies in clarity and restraint: a Scotch (…)Isle Of Skye 12y

Isle Of Skye 12y captures the contrast suggested by its island origin: a touch of maritime ruggedness, softened by a calm and approachable style. This 12-year-old Scottish blend brings together Highland-like sweetness with a gentle coastal note from Skye.
Oak cask maturation gives it a rounded base, while the fruit remains clearly present. The peat is light rather than forceful, adding a maritime accent instead of taking over the glass. That makes the whisky easy to understand, yet still recognisably shaped by its island character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Isle Of Skye 12y sits comfortably among Scottish whiskies for drinkers who want softness and fruit, but also a little sea air and character. It is a relaxed dram, well suited to those moments when you want (…)Wolfburn Northland 8y Incl. Box

Wolfburn Northland 8y has a meaningful place in the modern story of Wolfburn. Northland was the first reference from the current distillery, matured on site and even bottled on Wolfburn's own bottling line.
Now carrying an 8 year age statement, it keeps the gentle, warming style associated with Northland. Its character comes from a slow, patient approach to making the spirit and careful maturation in American oak quarter casks. The result is a Highland single malt where the cask supports the whisky rather than taking over.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly engaging Wolfburn for drinkers who enjoy maritime freshness, a light touch of peat and a soft but present malt character. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to feel complete in the (…)Isle Of Raasay 2019 7y (Cadenhead's Small Batch)

Temporarily sold out
Expected: 07/12/2026Isle Of Raasay 2019 7y from Cadenhead shows how much personality a seven-year-old single malt can carry when the cask selection is this deliberate. This Small Batch brings together four casks fully matured in ex-Bordeaux wine casks: three unpeated casks and one peated cask.
That combination shapes the whisky more than a simple age statement ever could. The wine casks bring red-fruited richness and a gourmand side, while the peated element adds tension rather than weight. A gentle maritime touch keeps the profile lively and gives this Raasay a distinctive edge.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is exactly the kind of independent bottling we enjoy discussing with curious whisky drinkers: not a standard distillery release, but a Cadenhead Small Batch where fruit, (…)Milk & Honey Ex Islay Belgium

Milk & Honey Ex Islay Belgium is a single malt with a clear sense of focus: single cask, cask strength, and finished in an Islay cask. Distilled on 22 March 2018 and bottled on 22 June 2021, it captures the energy of a three-year-old whisky while presenting it at a robust 55.5% ABV.
Only 267 bottles were drawn from this cask, so this is less about a broad house style and more about one particular cask and its finish. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are appreciated for exactly that reason: they give whisky drinkers a compact, clearly defined snapshot rather than a standard bottling.
The Islay finish points the whisky toward a lightly smoky and saline direction, supported by gentle fruit, spice and floral notes in the supplied flavour profile. (…)The Irish Collection 40° 4x5cl (Connemara, Kilbeggan, Tyrconnell And Kilbeggan Triple Cask)

The Irish Collection is a mini giftpack built around four Irish whiskeys: Connemara, Kilbeggan, Tyrconnell and Kilbeggan Triple Cask. With four 5 cl bottles, it is made for tasting side by side rather than committing straight away to one full-size bottle.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like this kind of set because it gives a clear, approachable way to explore several names within Irish whiskey under the Cooley label. It works well as a gift, but also as a small tasting journey for anyone who wants to understand their own preferences a little better.

Jack's Pirate Whisky 17y 13th Release is a Scottish single malt built around the individuality of one cask. Bottled by Jack Wieber's under the Jack's Pirate Whisky label, it presents a 17-year-old whisky as a focused release rather than a repeatable house style.
The details give it its appeal: single cask, cask strength, 52.8% alcohol and just 235 bottles filled in 2017. The Beer Cask reference adds another point of distinction, making this 13th Release stand apart within the series without needing to overstate the story.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for their specificity. One cask, one limited outturn, one bottled snapshot. With only the last bottles remaining, its small-scale nature is very much part of the experience.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this has its place among Japanese whiskies for drinkers who prefer a profile that is not driven by heavy wood influence or high strength. Its appeal lies in a relatively clear composition, where the fruity side remains central and the subtler elements add shape without making the whisky feel weighty.

With 565 bottles released, it sits firmly in the world of small, clearly defined whisky editions.
The sherry butt is not a finishing detail here; it shaped the whisky throughout maturation. After 18 years, that gives this bottling a strong sense of identity, while the 60% alcohol strength keeps the presentation direct and concentrated. It is a whisky to spend time with rather than rush.
