Sagamore Spirit Rye

Sagamore Spirit Rye
In stock
Sagamore Spirit Rye is a modern Maryland-style rye whiskey built around contrast and balance. It uses grains from the local farming community and brings together two different rye whiskies: a high-rye and a low-rye. That blend gives it more depth than a rye driven by spice alone.
Both components are triple distilled and matured for 4 to 6 years before being blended in small batches of 20 barrels. The result is a rye with clear spice, but also a rounder side shaped by fruit, honeyed sweetness and gentle oak.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a strong introduction to American rye with enough personality to keep experienced whiskey drinkers interested. Bottled at 46.5%, it has the weight to carry its spice and fruit without losing the smoothness that sits (…)Kentucky Vintage

Kentucky Vintage

Kentucky Vintage is a small batch bourbon from the United States with a firmly classic character. It is built around familiar bourbon notes: caramel, vanilla, oak and a rounded, harmonious palate rather than an overly heavy or exaggerated style.
Maturation in new oak gives it a clear Kentucky-style wood influence, while brown sugar and gentle spice keep the flavour warm and approachable. At 45% ABV, it has enough presence to carry those flavours without losing its balanced feel.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Kentucky Vintage fits neatly among bourbons for drinkers looking for a traditional small batch style with warmth, structure and a measured oak-driven finish.
The aroma brings forward caramel, vanilla and oak. On the palate it is round and (…)Braeckman Single Grain 2008 10y 50cl

Braeckman Single Grain 2008 10y 50cl

Braeckman Single Grain 2008 10y is a Belgian grain whisky with a quietly distinctive identity. Distilled in 2008 and matured for ten years, it was drawn from a single bourbon barrel. That gives the bottle a very specific character: not a broad blend, but the voice of one individual cask.
Only 322 bottles were filled, and these are now among the last bottles available. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like releases like this because they show Belgian whisky in a focused, small-scale way: limited, clearly defined and made for people who enjoy discovering something outside the obvious names.
The profile is led by fruit, supported by gentle floral, woody and spicy touches. The bourbon barrel influence is present without dominating the whisky. Bottled at 46%, it has (…)Hammer Head 1989 23y

Hammer Head 1989 23y

Hammer Head 1989 23y is a Czech single malt with a clear sense of time behind it. Distilled in 1989 and matured for 23 years, it stands apart from the more familiar whisky origins while still speaking the language of single malt.
European oak gives the whisky its maturation framework, but the supplied flavour profile points most strongly toward fruit. Wood and spice are present in a supporting role, with a light floral touch adding extra detail. Peat and salty notes are not part of the main picture here, so the focus stays on a fruit-led, gently structured style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value bottlings like this because they bring something different to the shelf without relying on noise or exaggeration: a 23-year-old single malt from the Czech Republic, (…)Paddy

Paddy

Paddy is an Irish blended whiskey from Midleton in Cork, made with a notably high proportion of pure pot still whiskey. That detail gives the blend a distinctly Irish feel: approachable and gentle, yet with enough spice and grain character to keep it engaging.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Paddy as a familiar Irish choice for drinkers who enjoy a soft, fresh whiskey without peat smoke. The oak cask influence stays in the background, allowing the citrus brightness, light spice and gentle vanilla notes to come through clearly.
Bottled at 40%, Paddy remains smooth and uncomplicated, but it still has its own character. Its appeal lies in freshness, ease and a softly spiced Irish style.

Cody Road Bourbon 50cl

Cody Road Bourbon 50cl is an American bourbon with a notably fruit-led character. At 45% alcohol, it has enough strength to feel present in the glass, while the available profile points to a style where fruit takes the lead and oak, spice and a light floral touch play supporting roles.
Its maturation in new oak gives the bourbon its woody framework, without making the wood the main story. The balance suggested here is more about freshness and flavour definition than heavy cask weight or smoky intensity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle that catches the eye of customers looking for a bourbon outside the most familiar names. The 50cl format makes it a compact introduction to Cody Road, and these are the last bottles available in our (…)Bushmills 10y

Bushmills 10y

In stockBushmills 10y is a well-known Irish single malt with a clear and approachable identity. It brings freshness and fruit to the foreground, supported by a gentle sweetness and enough character to make it more than just an easy-drinking whiskey.
The ten-year maturation takes place mainly in American oak bourbon casks, with a smaller influence from Spanish oak that previously held sherry. That cask combination helps shape the familiar notes of vanilla, honey and soft spice found in this Bushmills.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like to present Bushmills 10y as a genuine introduction to Irish single malt: bright, lively and shaped by its maturation, without a smoky profile taking over.

Jameson Bow Street 18y

Jameson Bow Street 18y shows a more mature and forceful side of Irish blended whiskey. The 18 year age statement gives it depth of positioning, while the 55.1% strength makes clear that this is a more concentrated Jameson to take time with.
Its bourbon barrel maturation gives the whiskey a wood-framed setting, though the supplied flavour profile points most strongly towards fruit. Gentle spice, light wood influence and a subtle floral note sit around that fruitier core, giving the whiskey a layered character without turning it into a heavily peated or coastal style.

Teerenpeli 8y is a Finnish single malt whisky, and that origin already gives it a point of difference. Finland is not always the first country people think of when discussing whisky, so this bottle has a natural appeal for anyone who enjoys exploring beyond the familiar regions.
Matured for 8 years in oak casks and bottled at 43% in a 50 cl bottle, it shows a profile led by fruit, with gentle wood, spice and a light floral touch in support. Peat smoke and salinity are not part of the main picture here, keeping the focus on a fruit-driven, oak-matured single malt style.

The Irishman Harvest is a good example of how an Irish blend can carry more character than the category sometimes suggests. Bernard Walsh built this whiskey around 70% single malt and 30% single pot still whiskey, giving it a malt-driven base with the added spice and depth of pot still spirit.
It is triple distilled and matured in bourbon casks, shaping a style where fruit comes forward first, followed by gentle spice, light oak and a softer sweet side. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as an Irish whiskey for drinkers who want approachability, but also a little more texture and personality in the glass.

Its composition is the part that makes it stand out. The Harvest is made from 70% single malt Irish whiskey and 30% single pot still Irish whiskey, with no grain whiskey component. That gives the name a clear meaning: it points back to Irish barley and the agricultural foundation behind whiskey production. The whiskey is triple distilled and matured in American oak bourbon casks.

The Busker Single Pot Still is an Irish whiskey built around the character of single pot still rather than an age statement. It presents itself through style, cask influence and a clearly fruit-led profile.
Sherry and bourbon casks shape the background of this whiskey, giving room for fruit to stand at the centre while lighter notes of wood, spice and floral character sit around it. At 44.3% alcohol, it has a little more weight than a very standard-strength bottling, without feeling like a purely technical release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a good example of Irish whiskey for those who want to look beyond the most familiar expressions, especially when fruit and gentle cask influence are more important than peat or maritime character.

Teeling Wonders Of Wood Series Nr 4 Carpathian Virgin Oak is an Irish Single Pot Still whiskey built around the influence of wood. In the Wonders of Wood series, Teeling explores how different oak types shape whiskey; this fourth release focuses on rare virgin oak from the Carpathians, described in the supplied information as fine-grained and rich in tannins.
The whiskey itself follows the traditional Single Pot Still approach, made from 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, then triple distilled in Dublin. Its full maturation in Virgin Carpathian Oak casks gives the wood a central role rather than a supporting one, placing the creamy and spicy nature of the style alongside a clear new-oak influence.

The whisky matured in American oak, with the bottling information specifying a refill bourbon hogshead. The maturation is central to its character. The whisky first spends 15 years in ex-bourbon casks. It is then divided: one part continues in ex-bourbon casks, while another part moves for three years into ex-Oloroso sherry casks. After that, the whiskies are brought back together. Glenmorangie A Tale Of Ice Cream is a limited edition Highland Single Malt from Glenmorangie's experimental A Tale Of series. For this release, Glenmorangie combined single malt matured in bourbon barrels with whisky finished in so-called high-vanillin casks. These are new oak casks specially toasted to encourage the release of natural vanillin from the wood. The vanilla-like character is therefore linked to cask influence and maturation, not to added vanilla.
